They’ll get a few thousand in but the arena can hold the best part of 16,000. Heaney’s the only ticket seller on the show - not sure Foster shifts many. May be people looking to get out and about though.

Hall-Of-Fame Promoter Frank’s Queensberry are bringing a stacked card, including three British title fights, to the Utlilita Arena, Birmingham on Saturday August 28, live on BT Sport.

Anthony Cacace will defend against Lyon Woodstock, Akeem Ennis-Brown against Sam Maxwell.

And Ijaz Ahmed and Kaisy Khademi will contest the vacant British super flyweight title.

Ahmed vs. Khademi will replace a planned fight between Brad Foster and Jason Cunningham - which got scrapped when Foster withdrew with injury.

Other big names on the blockbuster bill includes Anthony Yarde and boxing’s biggest ticket seller Nathan Heaney.

Former World Light-Heavyweight title challenger Yarde (20-2, 19 KOs) has a warm-up ahead of his likely rematch against Commonwealth champion Lyndon Arthur, who controversially outpointed him last December.

Akeem Ennis-Brown (14-0, 1 KO) will risk his British and Commonwealth Super-Lightweight championships against Liverpool’s former amateur superstar Sam Maxwell (15-0, 11 KOs).

The Gloucester man hasn’t boxed since winning his title in a points win against Philip Bowes last September.

He had been due to face Maxwell in March, but was injured and his challenger had to be content with a points win against late sub Ben Fields.

Belfast’s Anthony Cacace (18-1, 7 KOs) will finally get to defend his British Super-Featherweight crown against Lyon Woodstock (12-2, 5 KOs).

Injuries and illness has prevented the fight taking place since it was first scheduled last August, and it promises to be a cracking 12 rounder.

In a fourth title fight Telford’s Liam Davies (9-0, 4 KOs) will make his first defence of the English Bantamweight title he won so impressively against Sean Cairns last November.

Warren added: “Ennis-Brown v Maxwell and Cacace v Woodstock fights promise and will deliver excitement for those lucky enough to be there and BT Sport viewers.

"Ahmed v Khademi was a closely fought contest first time out, I can only imagine fans will be treated to much the same this time around.

“This is a card that no one can have any complaints about.”

Stoke Middleweight Heaney(12-0, 4 KOs) will have his raucous army behind him when he boxes a ten rounder in his third fight under the Queensberry banner.

Warren hopes that next summer, Heaney will be fighting on an open air show at the bet365 Stadium, home of his beloved Stoke City.

Northampton Super-Lightweight Eithan James (5-0) will box a six rounder on the bill.

Dublin’s Willo Hayden a training partner of Conor McGregor makes his professional debut in a four round Super-Lightweight contest.

Also in four round action is Nottingham Light-Heavyweight Ezra Taylor (1-0, 1 KO) and Telford debutant Super-Lightweight Macauley Owen.

Cacace should be too savvy for Woodstock here, Woodstock can be outboxed, he's tough and game and probably with his style he can't be written off but Sharp and Barrett exposed his level, neither guy been active but Cacace should win a comfortable decision

BEST OF BRITISH THIS WEEKEND

THE NIGHT BEFORE both Daniel Dubois and Tommy Fury get to experience their American dream on Sunday, back in Blighty we will be showcasing a triple-header of domestic title action to the fans in Birmingham.

The Utilita Arena will play host to three British title scraps, Anthony Yarde attempting to put himself back on course for another world title shot and the English bantamweight champion, Liam Davies, wowing a bumper local support.

In addition to this – and equally highly anticipated – we will have the Stoke City chorus belting out a certain Tom Jones track in honour of Nathan Heaney.

Sticking to the theme of British titles, it is a championship that, I believe, has recaptured its prestige over recent years and it is a belt that tops the wish list of most professionals.

Pretty much gone are the days when ambitious elite operators were content to bypass the level and focus more on a world ranking, these days it is a box that boxers want to tick.

Not for everyone, some want to jump into the fast lane, but most want to sample a good domestic dust-up before moving onto bigger things.

Here at Queensberry we like to set our young fighters off along two paths simultaneously. We build them towards winning a treasured Lonsdale belt but, at the same time, also seek to ensure they enter the world rankings via the gathering of international experience and regional rankings belts.

The big upside of this is that, when the home front is conquered, they are already in a good position to make an assault on the world stage. Moving on from British level with little international exposure can be a time-consuming exercise.

People do like to criticise international belts, but they serve an important purpose in the timely career-progression of a fighter who has got what it takes to reach world title level.

With British title fights you are, most of the time, guaranteed a good competitive battle between fighters at a similar level. There is the odd mis-match thrown up occasionally but, for the most part, they are the sort of fights the public want to see.

The three we are staging on Saturday fall into the ‘pick ’em’ category and I would be surprised if there is a big odds-on favourite in any of them.

Anthony Cacace vs Lyon Woodstock at super featherweight has got all the ingredients for an all-out war. The Belfast man probably has the edge when it comes to technical ability, but Lyon has the heart of a lion and this can be a great leveller.

Akeem Ennis-Brown and Sam Maxwell ensured their super lightweight tussle – also for the Commonwealth title – will carry a bit more spice and spite after they wound each other up like clocks at the press conference last week.

There is a lot at stake in this. For Sam it will be a defining night in his career because, with turning over late from being a successful amateur, he has no time to waste and to take a defeat at this stage would represent a big setback.

For his part, Akeem believes he belongs at a higher level and just needs the platform to prove it. He cannot afford to be parted from his bargaining chips.

Our third helping of British title action comes with the vacant super flyweight collision between Ijaz Ahmed and Kaisy Khademi in a repeat of their battle for the WBO European belt won by Ijaz in a close run thing earlier this year.

Our English bantamweight champion Liam Davies also cannot afford any slip-ups in front of his huge band of followers. He is talking about a tasty looking conflict with Andrew Cain later this year and that is a fight I wouldn’t like to see fall by the wayside.

So, in summary, get ready for a night of domestic boxing bliss to put you in the mood to tune in again to see Daniel and Tommy fly the British flag on Showtime with some hopefully explosive exploits over in the United States.

ANTHONY YARDE: “The biggest excitement for me is having fans back because they play such a part. It’s about entertaining so when you hear the crowd roaring it lifts you. We have made some tweaks but training has gone fantastic. I have always enjoyed a laugh and joke in training, but we know when it is time to be serious. I always enjoy the job. For me the focus is Saturday because I have a decent opponent.”

TUNDE AJAYI: “Anthony has always been dedicated to boxing and his work ethic has never changed. Having James Cook in the training team has added to everything. His experience has been invaluable. You can’t buy that. I’d be lying if I said the Arthur rematch wasn’t in our heads, but in terms of the training and preparation has been this weekend.”

ANTHONY CACACE: “I have no worries about being rusty after a lay-off. I have been boxing 20 years and this comes second nature. I am used to the big stage and raring to go. I felt like I was never going to defend this title. It’s been bad luck after bad luck, but I have trained hard and I am ready for what Lyon brings. I will do whatever I want with Lyon. I can fight him, box him but I respect what he brings to the table. I will win and it doesn’t matter what way.”

LYON WOODSTOCK: “I more than confident I will take the title. I don’t believe in the whole idea of ring rust because we’re both warriors. This is like a tribal thing, mine against his. I respect him as a warrior and gladiator. On Saturday, two tribes are going to come together and go to war. I have experienced high and lows. That is what builds your character and the loss to Zelfa Barrett was part of the journey. Hand on heart, I haven’t thought past this fight. It is all or nothing and going to be great.”

AKEEM ENNIS BROWN: “Of course I respect Sam. I respect any fighter who gets in the ring because it takes a lot to do that. I think I have the superior record and that is a fact. This win should give me the platform to go and get bigger fights. Some of the wins I had should have put me in that position, but somehow I still get avoided. I am not worried about his power. I love a challenge and that gets me excited. I have the style to nullify any fighter. He is getting beat up and knocked out. I am going to punch him up.”

SAM MAXWELL: “Everything Akeem brings to the table I have seen before. I have the amateur experience and feel I have boxed at a higher level in the pros. I was prepared for it (Akeem to try and get under his skin) because I knew what type of character he is. I called him a clown but I didn’t expect him to dress as one today. I am being underestimated going into this fight. I thrive on being the underdog. He is a weak man. His record tells you that and he has nothing that will trouble me. I am going to knock him spark out and hurt him. When I win this it is dream achieved and it will open up bigger opportunities.”
