Re: Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley - August 29, 2021
I've watched some Woodley training footage - he doesn't look bad, he looks like an actual boxer, fast, some power. He shadowboxes like a boxer not a fake. I know its just training but I also watched his UFC fights.... he has only been kod once I think and they were pretty devastating elbows and punches with 4 oz gloves from Nate Marquart to put him away. This and Woodley has that big solid brieze block head that can take a punch.
So I don't see him getting blown away like the other stiffs. Tyron has a chance, its a tough fight for Paul - Woodley is in great shape and looks super fit. I think Woodley will have difficulty avoiding the shots, Jake is very accurate. Tyron is faster I would say. Paul has a reach and height advantage, and a bit of a natural size advantage.
I think Paul will zero in on Woodleys head, prob not be as reckless as against the others., will stop Woodley round 5..... he need to be more careful than his previous fights. Unless Woodley comes out recklessly smoking himself then he may find himself stopped in 2.

Re: Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley - August 29, 2021
Woodley’s punch resistance looked poor in his last fight against Luque. Whilst it went down as a submission win for Luque, the damage was down by Luque’s striking. The majority of his shots were straight down the pipe whilst Tyron’s were wide punches so Luque landed first when they were trading.
In his fights before that one I thought Woodley looked a shell of the fighter he was and for whatever reason wasn’t able to pull the trigger.
Jake’s going to have 15lbs on Tyron and is a bigger bloke than Tyron. For his level Jake also has a decent straight right which Woodley will be open for and I see Jake winning comfortably.

He tried to take Woodley’s cap.
How childish.

Heard that. Was thinking Woodley should of taken his when they did yesterday’s face off. Could of sent it to mayweather as a get square.
While stealing a hat is childish it’s also a pretty simple wind up to get some easy headlines and remind people that your fights tommorow. Pretty embarrassing to fail to take someone’s hat though…

I'm sure I'm not alone wanting Jake to have his head handed to him, ending this sham.

Not tommorow, too big a win for the UFC. Let boxing get to take his 0. I’m not a big tommy fury fan but that’s the fight to happen. Jake Paul is a chance in it too based on what iv seen from tommy fury, he really is also quite shit (now, not saying he will never be decent).
Will Jake fight tommy? Mabey, might just fight Michael page, KSI and whatever ufc scraps come off contract and aim for McGregor…. But if he eventually fights a boxer it’s a great chance for them.

i dont know why they'd have him fight tommy fury.....who is a total unknown in the usa and has a bit of a boxing background. makes more sense to match him with better known guys who've boxed less.
should mix in an exhibition with pacman or something. huge earnings plus actually good experience

The Fury last name, Being a boxer, Not being great, Looks the part, Huge UK fame, definite USA name recognition.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑28 Aug 2021, 23:21 i dont know why they'd have him fight tommy fury.....who is a total unknown in the usa and has a bit of a boxing background. makes more sense to match him with better known guys who've boxed less.

i would want him on another USA card first to be honest if i was paul and signed to fight tommy fury i'd try chuck fury in an interim fight on a big USA card (real boxing, not celeb stuff) and cherry pick a light heavyweight blown out record Lovejoy type...
but its true, its much higher risk. the smartest thing is to probably keep going through MMA guys till you can convince either floyd, connor or manny... or oscar i guess. anderson silva/izzy/venom page are inbetween steps for ufc/boxing i guess.

he's a total unknown in the usa regardless of being named tommy fury, even in the uk he's just on undercards and doesnt have the drawing power to do his own jake paul thing. they'll need to do a super hypejob on him to get him any sort of profile in the usa any time soon
jp even thought his name was timmy fury
