Nikolay Valuev vs Tommy Burns. What If?

Post by KOJOE90 »

Pound for pound I would heavily favoure Tommy Burns but could the 5'7ft 180lbs former Heavyweight Champion cope with the 7ft 320lbs Valuev? At what point does size overtake ability?

Burns ducks under the behemoth's oak-tree arms and beats him up in the belly and breaks his knees.

The tallest vs the smallest...

Iono who would win this myself, Burns had a reputation for beating much larger men than himself, but Valuev is one of the oddest of the giant Heavyweights that I have ever seen. Not saying that by how weird looking he is, but with his style.

He only uses his reach to his advantage when he needs it, but he's more inclined to have the smaller men (which is virtually everybody) come to him and he is more than willing to fight close.

His combinations have gotten better, but he still has lots and lots to prove, cus it's one thing to use your talents against the likes of Owen Beck, and totally another against a Hasim Rahman or Wladimir Klitschko.

But since we're talking Burns/Valuev...I'd have to go with Burns, because if Valuev needed "gift decisions" over Larry Donald and mediocre, but durable, Ruiz...he couldn't take the "Little Giant of Hanover".
