Boxers who would be the best street / pub fighters.
Who have you got ?
They’ll need heavy hands , aggression and a strong chin.
I’ve got Froch at number one. You may be faster and more skilful but he’s got a concrete head and will eventually get you.
Chisora would be good. Game as hell.
Marty rogan looks like he’d be great in a pub fight. I’d say he can hold his Guinness too and still row.

Ones who can keep distance and hit hard. Cause everything in close is 50/50 in street fights. There you can scratch eyes, hit on the balls and thus deal with many styles and skills.

Not a boxer, but a boxing man through and through who is want by my side: Adam Smith.
People I wouldn’t want: Ricky Hatton got Kod over an argument involving a fruity.
Gary Stretch hasn’t a good record on the cobbles either
I’d like Dominic Ingle too

Only if you’re in a pub populated by dwarves. Size means a lot in a fight. A non punching bantamweight like McCullough really wouldn’t be much use. The average tough guy in a pub would throw him around like a rag doll.
Basically you’d want a heavyweight, who’s game, tough with a good chin and can punch. Babic is a good choice. David Haye would actually be a good one - athletic, hits hard fast and has some jiu jitsu I believe. He would just chin people and we’ve seen him in action, taking care of Chisora and Adam Booth in style

I reckon you're overestimating most pub tough guys.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑30 Aug 2021, 16:32Only if you’re in a pub populated by dwarves. Size means a lot in a fight. As for the Heavyweights, they should probably not be counted as most of them would probably kill someone in pub/street and would be more wary of engaging.
The lighter guys would be more likely to throw hands.

i bet michael gomez was a handful in the pub. With froch being such a ridiculously tough bastard, i wouldn't fancy a dust up with him.

The average pub tough guy would be gassed and defenceless after 30 seconds. Wayne McCullagh had a block head so would weather the windmilling then take over.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑30 Aug 2021, 16:32Only if you’re in a pub populated by dwarves. Size means a lot in a fight. I was a pub manager for years, saw loads of fights. It was always really clear who'd had a lot of practice in a setting outside of the bar, and it certainly wasn't always the big lads.
