It's worth keeping for £1.99pm but as soon as it goes up I'm cancelling,I signed up cause I work late Friday and Saturday nights so big us fights fall in line with me getting home from work but with matchroom UK joining I miss all the UK shows,at least with sky I could record and watch when I get home.

You can do what you did with Sky with DAZN. Pretty much as soon as the shows finish you can watch them from the start - I did that with one of the U.K. shows and all of the Us shows.

Matchroom are done in the US it seems.

They're having serious trouble at home too rumoured Sky/Boxxer are signing several of their fighters.

What's behind that then? Matchroom have plenty of funding/clout/track record.

Haymon hasn't helped in the Canelo and Fury-Wilder situations. Made Hearn look stupid.

It was Wilder’s and Fury’s teams who came out of that situation looking stupid, they didn’t seem to even know what was in their contract. At least Hearn was making an effort to get a big fight off the ground.

Why would you sign with Boxxer - no history or profile and no real knowledge behind them.

They’ll get some out of contract guys like Riakhpore but Ben Shalom guy knows about as much as half this forum does about Boxing.

Washerman/Sauerlands deal is separate.

Maybe because it’s Sky.

Even then that’s been delayed from August and no announcements - not a show planned as yet. Straight away Sauerlands want PPV for Eubank.

DAZN up to £7.99 a month, not bad, I'm sure they'll be a lot of meltdowns but that'll do for me, they do need to announce more shows though, I'm sure they will

Who are Sky/Boxxer rumoured to have signed? Their launch announcement date has already been missed and it seems Eddie signed the vast bulk of his fighters to multi fight contracts rather than having fight by fight deals as he did previously.

None of the rumoured U.K. Sky fights (the Lawal fight and the Eubank Jr fight) are anything special.

DAZN have just confirmed the £7.99 a month pricetag. £3 higher than I thought it would be given that at the moment it's basically just one UK show a month with no Joshua.

They need to add content, and quickly.

I already paid this months subscription.:8 I’m getting Lara-Warrington at £1.99..

I know we have that Liverpool card in a October but I’d rather get back to streaming.

I doubt I’ll keep it going permanently for 8 quid a month. Hasn’t delivered that amount of value for me yet, although I’ll keep an eye on it. Obviously I can afford it, but it’s the principle.

A big effort. Didn't work, though. Do you really believe Top Rank were that stupid? Hs seems to have been frozen out.

I dunno, but Fury’s team especially came across as complete amateurs. Didn’t know what was in their own contract, got forced to take the third fight, then had to postpone it because they couldn’t be bothered to keep Covid controls in training camp (and that’s giving benefit of the doubt that the reason for postponing was legit, which appears dubious tbh).

Maybe that was the plan. I never once thought Fury was in camp.
The Canelo thing isn't great either. As Eddie
Told everyone when Brook did a deal for Crawford, it's very disloyal and he'd have great difficulty working with him again....
Garcia show off now on the collapsed Canelo date, too.

Brook and Eddie had worked together for several years (which worked well financially for both) and then Kell excluded him from the discussions with Top Rank for the fight and had his mate Baz lead them for him. It’s a bit different to the Canelo stuff as they looked to see if they could do it on DAZN, it wouldn’t generate the same amount as PPV would so have gone to PBC with Eddie still involved on Canelo’s side.

I’m not overly surprised they’ve binned off the mid September date - it’s just too close to announce it and properly promote to make it financially viable.

Matchroom do need to pull their finger out though - no shows in the US since Haney and non announced and few other shows announced too. Plus with the U.K. price going up the timing isn’t great - they could do with announcing a handful of shows this week really.
