The bigger the spotlight, the harder it is to step out of it.

And of course, he's a good bloke, loves the game, helps kids, does a lot for charity, loves his mum and is dangerous on the cobbles

Avanesyan is fighting his mandatory

He would obviously prefer a big money world title shot but that’s not forthcoming at the moment, so he needs to keep making a living where he can :)

Do you not think Avanesyan walks through him?

Him and Carl Greaves said other night that Benn was offered it due to his EBU ranking but they turned it dow.

Hearn wanted Avanesyan to vacate so Benn could fight for it lol. Promised him a bigger fight but couldn't sort one so they kept it.

It seems like a decade since Eubank Jnr had a meaningful fight.

He'll no doubt be prattling on about how he wants Canelo/GGG/Charlo etc, as if these fights will make those contests likely to happen.

He fought Saunders in 2014/15 I think. So yeh.. nearly a decade.

Sky must handed the marketing of this to a 16 year old on work experience

Just watched a couple of clips on youtube and Smith keeps banging on about how "diverse" the new line up is. People punching each other in the face is not classed as woke. We want to see decent boxers. Is Bean misjudging the audience?

As much as I hate Adam smith, hope this does well and it should. Eddie is good at talking shit which is half of promoting but sky’s reach as a broadcaster makes takes out the need for an over the top mouthpeice a bit.

Will AJ stay with sky? What other big names will they poach, surly there’s a great opportunity for a few guys to become sky sports favourites and get great opportunity’s with sky.

Sky/boxer, frank, Eddie, is a good base for 3 decent British promoters… now they just gotta learn to work together….

Well the bad news is I have to keep on listening to that turnip head Adam Smith.
But the good news is, the flights are so bad I don’t have to watch them.

It's a start and given that I already have Sky for the Football, Golf, Cricket and NFL (like the several million other subscribers....) I'll keep watching.

Eubank is a coup as one of the few stars remaining in UK boxing, and hopefully they will deliver some good fights and also work with Frank and other promoters for crossover fights.

I'd personally really like as many Area/English title fights on the undercards as possible.

The more US fights we get from Sky too, the better.

Yeh though I note the gormless Smith isn’t a Shak fan, relegating comm duties to his hapless assistant sideshow Chris last time out. He’ll have a hardon for this one though ( SHADES of BARRERA MORALES! etc) so I’ll tune into ESPN thank god.

Is Eubank really a coup. He's been around on most platforms and never stuck with any of them which is telling,

He's the wrong side of 30 and his last outing was dire. His old all action style was good to watch but since he's tried to box he's been pretty dull.

Not wrong side of 30.

He’s gonna be 32 this month.

Needing a Dazn, Sky and BT sub to legally follow the sport is probably annoying for many.

Yeah the more TV/Promoters involved usually the worse it is for fans, not better.

It's better for the boxers themselves not the fans. UFC model is better for fans.

Fight wise yes. But UFC doesn't pay well I’m told and is both promoter and governing body
