Eubank Jr:"The fight [against Golovkin] has to happen, and it will happen within the next 12 months”; The lost pen

Post by apollo creed »

“He’s a middleweight world champion, and this is a fight that fans have been calling for years now,” said Eubank Jr. to Sky Sports on a clash between him and Golovkin. (Andrade is a mw champion too!) :OhYes:

“The fight [against Golovkin] has to happen, and it will happen within the next 12 months,” Eubank Jr. said of him and GGG fighting soon. Their team actually contacted us and has shown interest in making something happen. Really?

“So the fight will happen. So it’s just up to me to be ready for me to be ready when the time comes,” said Eubank Jr. on a fight between him and Golovkin.

LOL So, Eubank Jr found his lost pen when G is nearly 40.

Eubank Jr should fight Lara or Andrade(wbo champ) to earn the fight with GGG. :OhYes:

GGG lost his pen twice when Saunders signed contracts to face him.

Didn’t GGG also prefer to vacate his IBF strap rather than face Derevyanchenko?

And GGG would probably either lose his pen or give up his belt if someone offered him the Derevyanchenko rematch.

Losing your pen for a multi million dollar payday is much better than losing your pen and fighting Quinlan on ITV PPV.

Which would you really pick? L

Are my claims regarding Saunders and Derevyanchenko factually inaccurate?

Do you honestly believe GGG would be willing to face Derevyanchenko again?

Other fighters get ridiculed for refusing rematches when they’ve been unfairly gifted victories, but not GGG?

Oh wait! You’ll probably realise I’m 100% right, so you’ll inevitably concede defeat, by resorting to personal insults instead!

So bring it on… admit to being proven wrong by insulting me, because it’s not as if you’re able to do anything else, are you? :OhYes:

If the IBF mandated GGG to face Derevyanchenko again, he’ll inevitably vacate his title.

GGG lost his pen twice against Saunders.

Other fighters get criticised for refusing to engage in rematches against opponents they were previously awarded unfair victories against, but apparently not GGG.

Are the points I’ve raised seem inaccurate or unfair?

You know enough about the sport to realise you can’t refute my claims.

seriously, how often have you brought up that 'irrefutable claim'?

how often could 'nobody refute that irrefutable claim'?

so why do bring up that shit time and time again?

are you maybe talkin' to yourself?

Not a good fight for Chris.

He's a tough lad but doesn't need to eat those punches all night.

How about a prelim fight with Andrade or even rematch with Saunders first?

Read the first post in this thread.

If people keep mentioning the same topics time-and-time again, they’re going to be informed of the facts.

On a related note, do you seriously believe anything I’ve written isn’t factually correct?

You might call it śhït, but to me that’s a synonym with the objective truths of reality.

People grow old, they pay taxes and die. That’s śhït, but it’s still the truth.

You’re right, that’s a rubbish stay-busy fight.

And there’s no justification for it, unless Eubanks handlers aren’t willing to invest in him, in which case, he’s always going to face subpar opposition.

Fwáñk Wârrêñ offered Eubank Jr. a seven digit figure to face Saunders again, but he rejected it.

In terms of GGG, I suspects he beats Murata, but I’m not confident about how easily he does it.

Golovkin is old, rarely fights and whenever he does, it’s usually against weak opposition.

It’s also been more than four years since Golovkin delivered a performance impressive enough to justify his claim as being the very best the 160lbs division has to offer.

As far as I’m concerned, Golovkin lost the Canelo rematch and was unfairly gifted the win over Derevyanchenko.

In terms of Munguia, I really don’t rate him, so I’ve always strongly believed GGG beats him with consummate ease.

However, it’s worrying to see Gennadiy choosing to remain inactive, which means my opinion is gradually changing over time.

Inactivity is terrible for fighters in their forties, with Gennadiy on the cusp of turning forty.

And the fact GGG is intentionally choosing to remain inactive, despite being self-managed and self-promoted, coupled with receiving massive purse guarantees from DAZN, strongly suggests Golovkin’s desire for the sport has gone, which makes him very beatable against moderately decent opposition that isn’t intimidated by his fearsome reputation.

Yup, it would be some good fights but its better to stay safe and wait for the right calls.

:D Eubank Jr and Andrade have to get all the tough risky fights like the Sven Elbir's, Jason Quigley's, Morrison's, Keeler's and Williams's of the world. These guys truly deserve the big paydays from Canelo and GGG. :OhYes:

Asked if he’s always looked to pinpoint a fight with Golovkin, Eubank Jr was emphatic in his response.

Eubank Jr said: “Absolutely. From when I started the sport, I looked at the best guys and I always imagined eventually getting into the ring with them and I always planned and envisaged beating them. Anyone who wants to be a champion has to have that mindset of beating the best guys. If you don’t have that, then when the going gets tough you’re going to fold and not have that spirit inside you. I’ve always had that spirit and I always will.” from BS Andrade and Lara are "the best guys" too.

So Jr is banking on that he's the no 1 mandatory in the wba mw rankings but also Lara is a wba mw champion. In 2016, 34 y/o Golovkin was too dangerous for Eubanks. Now that G is 40 , is a very good.

Why not Eubank Jr vs Lara or Andrade first? :box:

Yup. G vs Canelo at 168 would make lots of $ense.

Jr doesn't mention nothing about Charlo,Andrade, Lara or even Munguia. Actually all these guys are salivating at a 40 y/o GGG, instead of fighting each other. lol
