I believe it’s October. Unless he has one more fight in his contract.
I wouldn’t have known that if it wasn’t for EO reminding us every thread.

Just prolonging the purse bid.
I know but the fact they are peeling I purse bids means both don’t want it….Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 Sep 2021, 20:21Just prolonging the purse bid.
They’ll never come to an agreement themselves.

I know you know boxing, so i know You know that the entire point of a purse bid is for situations where the two parties can not reach an agreement...Enlightened-One wrote: ↑02 Sep 2021, 05:14Nope.gregregegg wrote: ↑01 Sep 2021, 21:27I know but the fact they are peeling I purse bids means both don’t want it….Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 Sep 2021, 20:21

All it means is both sides can’t reach an agreement.
Top Rank have tried low balling Porter before. So it’s feasible they’re doing it again (they previously offered Shawn a sum that was smaller than the purse he received for the Formella bout).
Crawford has a massive minimum purse guarantee, which means that Top Rank can’t offer Porter a big purse, without the event costing them money (assuming it won’t be a huge commercial success).
Top Rank has an exclusive deal with ESPN, which means Crawford can’t compete on a rival network without involving ESPN somehow.
Bob Arum has previously claimed he regularly loses money staging Terence Crawford’s bouts. And that he’s no longer willing to do it again.
Everything I’ve written is easily verifiable.
He’ll probably bid between $4m-$5m for it..margaret thatcher wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 13:38 who needs craw-porter when we can watch eddie hearn videos?
For Crawford to receive his customary $4m payday (as per his contract with Top Rank), the winning purse bid would need to exceed $6.6m (to satisfy the mandated 60-40 purse split).Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 13:40He’ll probably bid between $4m-$5m for it..margaret thatcher wrote: ↑04 Sep 2021, 13:38 who needs craw-porter when we can watch eddie hearn videos?
