They pulled off an almost dying Oscar, to put in grandpa Fields... the winner gets a free year of TRT.

This show was a joke when ODLH was the headliner, it's even worse now.

60 years old evander 'head' holyfield!

if not in california then in fvckin' florida...

one couldn't make that shit up.

"Grandaddy of all the juicers"

Nice. There should be an honory title for Mr Holyfield for all of his pioneering work in the area.

“The Oscar De La Hoya/Vitor fight, on Thanksgiving - if we can make this happen - has just become much more interesting,” Kavanaugh explained to the MMA Hour.

“Because, for all those people who seem to be upset at Vitor for what just happened with Holyfield, you’ve just made this a much more personal fight, if you will. And Oscar becomes somewhat of a, not just his own ‘Golden Boy’, but coming in for revenge for Holyfield. And so, we are in talks with Oscar about having him fight Vitor on Thanksgiving weekend, Saturday [November 27th], and calling it ‘The Revenge’.”

Oh FFS! :brick:

I just wish there were loads of legitimate marquee boxing events that would render these novelty circus farces as being commercially unviable, since the fans would reserve their hard-earned cash exclusively for proper fights.

Reading this makes me recall the Arthur Stormy Weathers vs Derrici Banks fight. Why aren't there just good non marquee fights out there?
