Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
The fight is dead. There is no sign of life, other than some usless quotes here and there from John Fury or Malik Scott which fail to generate any intereste in this dead event. I haven't seen any ads or promo or any tv interviews. It's as if fury and wilder are pretending to have a fake rivalry third fight to keep their names somewhat relevant in the media while they wait for the real kingpin Anthony Joshua to fight the real no. 1 contender Usyk.
Fury and wilder both disqualified themselves from being the no. 1 contender when they each ducked career high paydays to fight AJ. So AJ moved on to fight the only guy who has the guts to dare to be great, Usyk.
Fury and wilder outed themselves as heavyweight ducks. Everybody knows it. Floyd mayweather showed he was the greatest duck of all time. And what happened to floyd? he's now a circus clown fake boxing with you tubers.
And that's probably going to be the future of wilder and fury, if they don't step up to the plate and dare to be great vs AJ.
My guess is wilder fury arum and haymon are secretly praying to the devil that Usyk beats AJ. Then they can call AJ a bum who lost to a cruiserweight Euro bum and then freeze AJ and Usyk out of the American market which they will then try to take control of with the Fury vs wilder 3rd fight which they will bill as the fight for the counterfeit Heavyweight championship of the world.
The only hope to sell Fury vs wilder 3 is for AJ to lose. Because AJ vs Usyk makes fury and wilder look like a fake farce wwf show between two clown ducks who ran away from giant jackpots to fight AJ.

Re: Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
I'm not surprised even if the fight happens, because it means not much anymore, wilder is 36 already and not getting younger.
Always ... fury game is to delay fights, it's hard for any opponents to stay in camp being motivated and keep in tip top shape for very log time, he basically drains career of his opponents or make them go away like he did to Wlad klitchko

Re: Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
Fury is too emotionally unstable a character to be a dominant champ. He's more like the oddball who is capable of great performances but only infrequently, like Buster Douglas and Andrew Golota. Fury does not have the mental make up to be a dominant heavyweight champion and the face of the sport. He's more of a supporting subordinate role character. Wilder is just a flat out fraud pretender with no class, no honor, and a whole lot of careful management and political protection.

klitchko told us few years ago "FART IN THE WIND" . He knew something we didn't ...... Though he couldn't catch on to that fart again555678 wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 16:41 Fury is too emotionally unstable a character to be a dominant champ. Is this another troll thread (posted by a notoriously untruthful forum poster) being blatantly ignored by the moderators or is there an official announcement?
Re: Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
I agree with EO, all three troll accounts should be deleted - this includes EOs.

Wow that wasn't a click-bait thread title at all was it?

Re: Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
Anthony Joshua v Oleksandr Uysk is only 3 weeks away.
This is the fight that determines the direction ($$$$$) of the entire heavyweight division.
Wilder v Fury may or may not happen later this year, or next year.
Or maybe not at all.
To keep things clear it's better for the sport if Joshua wins.
That way the other 2 jokers are less likely to get lost or confused in their own future plans.

It will happen
Re: Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
You mean the fight will happen or the predicted demise of the fight will happen?
Makes quite a difference![[icon_e_biggrin.gif] :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
Sounds like a brilliant strategy from a financial and tactical standpoint to be honest. Let's say Fury defeats Wilder and then he mops the floor with Joshua--- would anyone really be clamoring for a rematch?
No. Joshua would have to fight somebody, maybe Wilder, and win to prove that he's a live underdog. In the meantime Fury can fight one or two fringe contenders making the quick buck while Joshua rebuilds himself.
That's hypothetical scenario number one. Only if the fight is competitive, would the public want to see an automatic rematch. These rematch clauses are what is killing boxing--- there is no logical reason for a rematch in the case of a blowout or one-sided victory.
If the match is competitive to warrant a automatic rematch, and it goes to a draw or Fury loses, then it warrants a rubber match--- then again with so many belts on the line, dictating mandatories, it's possible that the IBF or some other organization will demand the winner to fight somebody else before ever doing a rematch anyways.
Fury I believe would tell such an organization to piss off and go ahead with a rematch, but I think Eddie Hearn would force Anthony Joshua to take up the mandatory before doing a rematch.

OP definitely needs to get blocked.

Let him say his peace.
It's still scheduled for October 9th.

It's money first, sport second (or even third) the way things stand.
Until we have open tournaments such as the World Boxing Series or Super Six, it's going to stay this way.
The big question is just how much could Canelo v Jake Paul make?

Re: Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
Within the last few days, Tyson Fury claimed that he wants to face Anthony Joshua during December, despite the third Wilder bout scheduled for October.
If Fury’s plans come to fruition, then his five-fight deal with ESPN will expire immediately after the AJ bout.
Interestingly though, it was claimed back in March that Fury-Joshua signed a two-fight deal, which means that Tyson could be joining a new home network next year, engaging in the 2022 AJ rematch without the involvement of ESPN.

Re: Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
I get the feeling Fury will live up to his obligations and fight Wilder.
As for what comes after, who knows, its Tyson Fury.
I would not be at all surprised if he just battles it out on twitter and never fights again, but keeps teasing that he will.

Whatever happens, I feel that Fury will be obliged to fulfil his contract with ESPN.
Re: Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
What are you talking about? I’m not a Fury diehard fan but give this dude his due already. No one’s ever beaten him as a pro and you can’t name a more heroic moment coming off of the canvas since Diego did it with Castillo. Fury announced to everyone that he was ditching social media while in camp so I don’t see what the problem is with people now saying that this fight won’t happen.555678 wrote: ↑03 Sep 2021, 16:41 Fury is too emotionally unstable a character to be a dominant champ. Yes, the Brits love to cancel or postpone big fights but I think that this one goes ahead and Fury has so many millions on the line if he loses or ducks this fight that there’s no way we don’t see this one happen as planned.
Re: Fury vs Wilder 3 is Dead
Arum Finkel wilder fury all silent on october 9th. no ticket sales, no hype. all this adds up to mean that the fight - IF it happens - is going to be a huge financial failure. Fury's inactivity, duck of AJ, wilder's crazy talk, excuses, poor performance ALL adds up to making this fight nothing. It would be interesting if it generated huge interest buzz hype and a sold out stadium. The the truth is the fight is nothing. It was used by both fury and wilder as a safe haven to avoid AJ. The problem is Fury vs wilder 3 is peanuts no money. Nobody is dumb enough to put up the big investment for a lousy or no return. Fury and wilder want gaurantees and nobody will put up the money.
The truth is Fury, as colorful and great as his record is, is simply not a big draw like AJ is. Neither is wilder. All roads lead to AJ.
Oct 9 will be canceled again. Look for wbc to declare Whyte champion and suddenly Whyte vs Arreola becomes more interesting.
