Apparently he has pulled himself from commentary duties.

A source says, he didn’t like the way Holyfield looked.

if it's an 'exhibition' like tyson-jones with pulled punches and mutually agreed no attacking the head, i still won't watch but whatever, it is what it is, if people wanna watch shot to bits, roided up former champs goinng thru the motions fine by me.

if it turns out to be an actual fight, where both men come to put the other man away, it should've never been sanctioned.

who wants to see 60 year old men get hurt? may they be former champs or actual 'legends' or not.

the match up holyfield belfort is atricious whatever it is, by the age gap alone.

Age gap probably makes it competitive. If Holyfield was Belfort's age, we'd be worried about Belfort's health.

Holyfield faced a better opponent Brian Nielsen back in 2011 10 years ago but to find a worse opponent you have to go back to 2006 15 years ago to find Jeremy Bates or all the way to 1985 36 years ago to find some other guys.

So I gather Holyfield is a 8x2min "Exhibition" bout similar to Tyson/Jones? It was listed on Boxrec but now its been removed, and I had heard it it was a "real" bout by that I mean a proper professional bout.

Anderson/Ortiz is still on boxrec and that's scheduled as 8x2min. So is that a professional bout or exhibition ?

Also reason why the show was hauled over to Florida last min? Avoid drug testing? I mean Holyfield looked good for a 58yo man but we know why that is  he didn't sound good forgetting what he was saying slow speech etc

Disappeared from boxrec so yea expo I guess. Bit cheeky doing late swaps on ppv headliners but in this case I’m happy. Hope in the last min the decide to Give em some 20 oz gloves, And make that 3x2 min rounds.

You guys are insane, I'm so looking forward to this fight immensely. Holyfield has stated he's been training 2 years straight for a fight and looks in phenomenal shape, expect the real deal to win comfortably.

We just worry about Holyfield getting brain damage, its just part of being human. 58 isn't the best age to get hit repeatedly in the head. It's a travesty the fight was even sanctioned.

Nobody wants this more than Holyfield, it's not like he got off the sofa when they replaced him with Oscar. I think he saw how much hype Tyson was getting on his comeback that it sparked a fire inside him to decide and fight again.

...
If Triller, along with the fighters, decide the event won't be registered as an official bout that is listed on BoxRec (boxing's official record keeper), the promoter has until right before the bell rings to notify the commission, per the FAC.

However, it's not a foregone conclusion this will be an official bout. Sources told ESPN Holyfield has expressed apprehension about the fight counting toward his official record.

"We have approved this as a full pro bout," the commission said. "If Triller and the fighters elect to not have this go on BoxRec, we will honor that request, but pro boxing rules will still apply with judges, scoring and a clear winner just as if it were a pro bout."

"If Holyfield doesn't want this to go on his BoxRec due to his age, we'll allow him to make the decision and still follow all the other rules," Triller co-founder Ryan Kavanaugh told ESPN...

I'm going with Holyfield-age 58 or not; 10 year layoff or not. Muscle memory prevails ! Decision. But, I wouldn't pay a dime for this.

Haye/Fournier has now been removed from Boxrec. So one can only assume its also a 8x2min “exhibition”

Poor form promoting Holyfield/Belfort and Haye/Fournier as professional bouts then last min switching them to exhibitions.

End of the day both are terrible matchings so its probably for the best.

Expect Fournier and Holyfield to be carried to the final bell and made to look semi competitive. The ONLY thing that changes this is if Belfort has been paid to take a dive to make Holy look amazing and set up Tyson/Holyfield 3
