Hes certainly having a s*****r of late for sure

Not over for him yet but hes certainly showing none of the savvy or drive lately that got him where he is in the first place but to be honest none of the boxing bods seem to give much of a f**k atm

He ain't no spring chicken and enthusiasm must wane after the time he's had in the game .
Up to his sons to up the ante a bit .

Same with Barry Hearn I suppose but Fast Car has certainly stepped up to the plate

Very rarely is George Warren interview or mentioned, although he done a presser for Joyce Dubois didn't he. I wonder is he a behind the scenes guy or how involved is he?

Francis Warren is usually around most of the shows ringside, pressers etc. Frank is still the main man though.

He has although what happens if he moves into head of Matchroom eg the Darts, Snooker etc.

Supposedly Frank Smith is heir apparent but he wouldn't have the salesmanship of Fast Car.

I was listening to Smith the other day, very polished, in the Hearn mould, I suppose he appreciates that he is the apprentice organ grinder and doesn't try and steal the limelight, but to jump into Fast Cars shoes he would need to increase the energy levels.

But the StubHub touting stuff, doesn't suggest he cares too much about fans. At least no more than the others.

He can sell anything especially to casual fans. But most hardcore fans can sift through the bluster, such as parading WBA regular belt holders as world champions etc.

I don’t get the hate for the StubHub stuff. Any show were there’s big demand for tickets will usually mean tickets go on secondary resale sites.

If FW had a big sell out show then there’d be tickets on resale sites. Just like there have been for some of the U.K. UFC shows in recent years.

Someone should just ask him, if you have a spare £50 ticket for sale, and put it on StubHub for £50, how much will you receive and how much will the buyer pay when it is sold?
I'm guessing £35 and £65.

I wouldn’t have thought so.

I doubt very much that Eddie makes money directly from tickets being resold on StubHub. I’m sure they get a decent level of sponsorship income from them though.

I think a resale site is useful in the current climate with people testing positive for Covid and wanting to get some cash back.
