There is a debate going on at my home, whether or not SUgar Ray Leonard has a glass eye. We know he had a detached retina years and years ago, but I heard a rumor that he had a glass eye (?)

Is this true or just another urban myth?

Actually many of the judges of a number of Leonard's fights had two glass eyes.

No truth to him having a glass eye. HOWEVER he may have had a lens placed in his eye which could have glass or plastic in it's make up. But I'm sure we would all have heard if he actually lost an eye due to his career or an accident. No way you could keep that a secret.

This would only be done if Leonard had suffered from catracts, which can be caused by age, injury or other eye conditions such as Gluocoma. Having said this it would usually take more than a detached retina years ago to cause a cataract to form at Rays age.

Or Leonard had injured his eye lense at some point.

Having said all that I doubt very much Leonard has a fake lense in his eye or a glass eye.
