Jesus Christ, how in the world did Valdez won that fight? He clearly wasn't finding himself in the fight, didn't had decent head and body movement, didn't reach Conceição most of the fight, his combinations were poor and inefficient, even in medium or close range, he was a static pole calling to be punched, in general, he wasn't 30% of what he is, a total shame (plus that Valdez did many punches in the back and wasn't penalized for that as Conceição was).
In contrast, conceição schooled him, was very all-around technical, with great offense and defense, did more than enough to win, used very well the distance, the basic combinations to score, many good jabs, seek for the fight most of the time, landed decent combinations, dodged most punches from Valdez and was very accurate in most punches he threw, he was awesome, deserved the belt, is the true champion and winner. 117-110 minimum to Conceição (counting the deducted point).
I never heard about those judges, IMO there was money involved, it can't be possible. Valdez even shouldn't have boxed after the drug cheating. Dirty WBC and bodies related.
In my country I'm certified amateur and pro boxing trainer, referee and judge, I'm not talking s*, who is from the area knows impartially that I'm not wrong in my analysys.

Valdez winning is definitely one of the most robbed fights of all times

Wasn't on TV here, But the sores were pretty 1 sided. Must see if I can find it
Re: Valdez winning is definitely one of the most robbed fights of all times
I guess it could have been a draw...but Valdez won pretty much every round the second half of the fight...so certainly not a robbery like OP says.

I thought Ward and Bradley were way off the mark, Conceicao should've won imo
Re: Valdez winning is definitely one of the most robbed fights of all times
I had it even without the stupid point deduction. The judges and the referee were corrupt, but the Brazilian was too dumb to give away rounds against a champion in his hometown. So, I feel OK with the outcome.
Re: Valdez winning is definitely one of the most robbed fights of all times
I had the Brazilian by a point but I bet him to win, so maybe I'm biased. However, 117-110 was way off.

Incredible how ppl let it go when it should be talked, the judge who score that stupid score said he was wrong and it is said the fight will be reviewed, just like Pacquiao-Horn.
