Real megafights in last 5 years

Post by Cent0089 »

I was just thinking. Real megafights in last 5 years that should been made:

Fury vs Joshua
Canelo vs Golovkin
Spence vs Crawford
Lomachenko vs Davis

Canelo vs Golovkin is only one that actually happen. And Canelo is the one who is called duck

who accuses canelo of ducking?

guess we gonna find out.

change loma with lopez!

sure there are other options for both but lopez/davis is the fight to be made.

that would be considered a 'mega fight' of 2 young top guys that everybody would love to see sometime soon but guess it has to 'marinate'.

for how long?

couple of years up to a full decade of frikkin 'marinating' until 'rotten', one can only guess.

p.s. ggg beat canelo twice. back 2 back.

I thought you were gonna talk about ones that actually happened, not should've's.

Canelo vs Golovkin and Fury vs Wilder 1 and 2 are about it as far as megafights.

I want to talk about the ones that happened.
So many didn't that we could go on indefinitely. And that's just the HW division.

Can we not add Ward vs. Kovalev to the list?

Was a big fight.. might not have had much hype.. but for us boxing fans it was a big deal.

The last real super fight, uncorrupted was Klitschko vs Joshua.

Pac Floyd was rigged - Flayd and Haymon rigged the judges to give Floyd the decision no matter what, that's why he didn't do anything to try to win the fight decisively. He didn't want to get caught and KOed. Haymon also rigged the tv commentators and the fake punch stats to favor Phloyd.

Canelo vs GGG both were rigged. GGG couldn't get the huge payday vs the $ maker unless he played soft. Too many people make too much money off Canelo and they want to keep the gravy train rolling so that's why they forced GGG to take the money and play soft.

Fury vs wilder were not super fights.

Fury and Wilder both ducked AJ because they know they will lose.

Loma vs Davis, Crawford vs Spence, can't happen because haymon knows davis and spence will lose.

Kovalev dove for Canelo because he needed the big payday.

Beterbiev can't get Canelo because Canelo and his protectors know they can't beat Beterbiev.

Superfights don't happen anymore in America, it's all about greed and creating fake stars.

Last night boxing in America was pronounced dead. The official cause of death was seeing a 58 year old legend allowed in the ring with a UFC heavyweight. Boxing in America has reached a point of ridiculous beneath pro wrestling. You know what caused the ruin of boxing in America? Floyd Mayweather and Al Haymon and all their accomplices at HBO and Showtime and the media who allowed those two corrupt scoundrels to escape Floyd being brutally knocked out by Pacquiao in 2010. That duck changed the sport and set the precedent that rigged fake fights or low risk set ups for free money will add up to earn more than a $100m superfight KO loss. Floyd and Haymon knew Pacquiao would be a KO loss and they took their TV money and hired patsies and low risks for a decade. The new business model was set. Create a fake star and protect it for as long as possible. High risk superfights between two prime champions are now virtually extinct in America What boxing now gives instead are rigged PBC set ups and circus you tube sparring sessions like last night. Boxing in America was once the ultimate respected sporting entertainment, the highest level of man vs man competition. Even NFL great Lawrence Taylor once told Bobby Czyz: "I could never do what you do." Now boxing has become a sad joke and a ghost of a ghost of a cheap imitation of what it once was. Mayweather and Haymon are the corrupt criminals who killed the sport and should be prosecutable by law to be condemned to life in prison for murder with no parole. - Scoop Malinowski

Joshua V Wilder should have happened a few years ago when they were both holding trinkets for ages.

On a lesser note, Stevenson V Kovalev should have happened too.

Vitali's last fight was 2012.

Wilder didn't capture his world title until 2015.

The last time Wladimir won a fight was April 2015, which is more than five years ago.

I don't think Wilder was ever on either Klitschko brothers' radar.

Wlad.
Remember when Fury dropped of the face of the earth, and Wilder didn't want a bar of him, said Wlad would retire soon and Wilder went back to bottom feeding?
