JAMIE MOORE - Had a great performance on Friday stopping the durable Mike Algoet in 5 ear bashing rounds of controlled aggression. Algoet has gone the distance with Bendall, Dodson, Locket, Karmazin and Roberts with only Howard Eastman stopping him in 9 rounds. This was what we were all expecting as Jamie now prepares for his next fight on the 29th September which is turning into a needle match against the young Brummie Mathew Macklin for Jamie's British Title.

MARK THOMPSON - Stopped the normally stone chinned Ernie Smith in 3 rounds. Mark is improving in every fight and will now be stepped up to 8 rounds when next out on the undercard to the Moore v Macklin cracker.

STUART McFADGYEN - The Burnley banger has a good start to his pro career with a 1st round KO of Neil Reid. Stuart is a big favourite in his home town and had great support ,which will undoubtedly be there on the 29th September too.

ALEX MATTVIENKO - Again in the fight of the night with his all action style of 'You hit me and I will hit you' which the crowd love. After the points win over Simon Lucas ,which was close until Alex dropped him in the third , Alex flew out to Greece for a Holiday with 80 mates the same night and therefore we can expect a bunch of tanned posers on the 29th when Alex fights next.

DANNY HARDING - Had his 2nd pro fight and won an entertaining battle on points against Neil McQuade.Danny is back with original trainer Joe Pennington after having a look round and hopes to get out again soon.

JAMES BROWN - The only loser from the VIP stable who lost on points to Grahame Higginson after being floored in the 3rd round.James is only 18 and his inexperience told in this fight ,is to have a short break out before hopefully coming back better in October. Should be noted that James give over half a stone away coming in himself at 9st 4lb on the day.

Higginson is no mug, he won a national title himself in the Ams, he has been matched very strongly as a pro

Missed Stu's fight, couldnt handle the heat - unbearable watching, never mind fighting in it

It was a good show. Why does Alex Mat seem to invite a crisis in every fight?! He is a decent bloke and fighter though.

I did feel that the Thompson stoppage was very, very premature, Smith's head was being pushed back rather than popped back IMO. How about a rubber-match Stegsie

I thought the stoppage was a bit prem too. It seems to b happenign lot in our game at the moment.

For the best though, I suppose.
