Inside a boxing ring Jones wins a decision. If they were on a rooftop Scott wins, with Jones ending up a mess on the footpath below

A good one . However, in my serious opinion, Jones would out-box Scott behind his speedy jabs and combinations to either take a decision or TKO him in 10 rounds.

There was a story about someone that looked incredibly like James Scott throwing a fella off a roof. When asked about it Scott claimed there was a dude well known in the area that looked just like him. Oddly enough they both happened to be nasty pieces of work. But I'm not sure if this was before or after Bob Dylan started writing songs about the injustice of locking up guilty people

Whilst Scott was a tough (guilty) hombre, Jones boxes his head off all night

dwight qawi couldnt drop james scott, but jerry martin could, multiple times

besides, you hardly have to ko a guy cold to get a stoppage. if someone takes a prolonged beating, and is well out of their depth. roy jones was an awesome fighter and could defo stop him late on

you point out that qawi couldnt drop scott, yet a fighter worse than qawi could multiple times. doesnt really give your initial point much strength

plenty of tough guys get stopped by fighters who dont necessarily hurt them much with any one shot, but are just so much better than they outclass them and beat them up over the length of the fight. that's how jones would do it to scott. of course roy jones stopping james scott isnt unrealistic

doesnt take a fighter as good as qawi to drop him then does it!

jones would be lighting up the much inferior scott, he doesnt need to hurt him big, he could accumulate it , outclass him, and do enough for it to be halted late with scott busted up. james scott simply wasnt in roy jones league

I see Roy landing a couple of bombs early, just to let James know he's there, and basically outboxing him for the UD. Probably 118-110 score.

That is how I see it too
Jones was a smart fighter and would not get into a war with Scott
