They literally stand on the scales for like 2 seconds, flex and get off. The presenter says their weight before they even get on.
The original weigh in's do be taped, but they never show them unless there was a controversy or missed weigh in.
But these, as they say, ceremonial weigh in's are just for show.

Dvalishvili-Moraes had one of the craziest first rounds you will ever see. How Merab survived the first round is a mystery. Round of the year for sure.

The Diaz-Lawler fight was a joke. This fight should never have been made. People cheering as if these guys were in their prime. 
Diaz looked like a shell of his former self and looked like he didn't want to be in there anymore. Sad to see a fighter who was known for never quitting quit. Cormier saying that he hopes to see him fight again in the post fight interview was ridiculous. Anyone with eyes could see Nick no longer has the fire in him to fight. I hope he got paid very well for that beating and never fights again. He shouldn't be putting his health at risk at this stage of his life.
This is a part of combat sports that I don't enjoy, when fighters that should be retired come back. The blood lust of the fans is also disgusting wanting to see a fighter way past his best come back solely for their entertainment. I did not enjoy that fight.

Well tbf Finny its far from the worst hype job fight to be made, esp in the current climate of combat sports. Im actually surprised how well they were able to market Diaz tbh. Is this another trickle on effect from his brother's fights with McGregor? I think so. I dont think the fight would have ever been made otherwise, and as a fan of Nick from his debut in the company, i can say, they never really painted his career in such a prestigious light until the time came to promote this fight.

To me Nick looked so disinterested and like he didn't want to be there. He even said prefight that he didn't know why he was fighting. A fighter shouldn't be in the ring if he is questioning why he is fighting. This is a tough sport that can shorten a lifespan and fighters that don't have their heart 100% into it shouldn't be fighting imo. I know the fight looked good but that was a shell of the former fighter Nick was. Volkanovksi vs. Ortegas was for sure one of the best fights ever, "Mortal Kombat" stuff; Volk refusing to tap out in two dire situations, T-City getting back even after getting murked by hundreds of clean shots, all looked unreal. Kudos to both guys.
Nick Diaz looked like he did not want to be there right from the start and it showed, however, he still slugged it out with Robbie and gave a run for his money.

3-4 times a year the ufc will stack a card from top to bottom. The main event usually won't have their highest profile fighters, but just about every fight will be very evenly matched and make sense.

Hooker's career is clear example of what mma does right and boxing does wrong. They backed him as he was coming up. Made the tough match ups with guys he respectfully called out and were happy to fast track him as a reward when he won. Lost a hard fought war with probably the best in the division atm, suffered a quick kick at the hands of Chandler.
Yet they continue to back him. Yes he has had a set back, but continue to match him as someone of value in the division. Makhachev is a badass, should be a good fight.
