I'm so glad for Usyk. He robbed the judges of a robbery attempt.

Fair play on the judging, what will happen now?
Fury v who?
Will there be a rematch?
Will Usyk want a defence?
Will the WBO enforce a rematch as he was mandatory?

Don't think there's any point...but then there isn't any point in Fury-Wilder 3 either...AJ's ego might make it happen

The judging was just right, generous to the home fighter, but not bent.
If AJ won the last round it still wouldn't have mattered.

I say...

Fury vs Usyk
AK vs Whyte on the undercard - winner gets recycled to face the above winner.

Shame about the undercard, but that was terrific.
I'm buzzing.
Usyk - I had feeling, I really did.
Tried to tell Coco about 'the vibe' I had with Uysk, hard to describe. Just rang Holyfield in my head.

Funny thing is, in a curious way - this could help Fury defending his WBC title against AJ...
And really lower AJ's financial demands for that fight...

I did read that Eddie had an immediate rematch written into the contract.

It will be a rematch in the spring. You're either fighting for the belts or you're pixxing in the wind. AJ has had belts for years, he won't like not being champ.

I would imagine Eddie has got Uysk tied up in knots contractually, they've worked together before of course so I don't mean that in a bad way. Will be interesting to see the purses for the eventual rematch, Ruiz got a paltry purse in comparison to the HUGE payday AJ got for their rematch.

Agreed, I remember one of his interviews (before the second Ruiz fight) he said something like -
when you are on top of the world, everyone wants to know you and your time and wants an autograph...
Then when you lose, no one wants to know you and you're on your own...

Who exactly bailed on him? He still has the weight of Matchroom and Sky behind him.... No one seemed to ditch him from what anyone could see... Certainly if someone left his camp, it would have been publicised...

No rematch needed after such a schooling. Team Joshua should excuse for the clause, drop it and go back to school.
