I agree, but sadly, there will be one.DrDuke wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 18:23F*ck it, Joshua got schooled. What f*cking rematch?Thomastearns wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 18:21 Anthony Joshua says he enjoys a challenge. He's got one now.
Bring on the rematch.
The result will be the same though.
Joshua tried to box a master boxer, which is usually futile, but I get the feeling that if he tried to brawl, it would have made little or no difference.
Usyk is on another level.

Yeah, Usyk is better. Plain and simple truth. Only the Gypsy King is better.Syntax Error wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 18:41I agree, but sadly, there will be one.DrDuke wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 18:23F*ck it, Joshua got schooled. Hats off to you.
I am on record as predicting that AJ would win, but a caveated that by saying that I had a nagging feeling that Usyk could outbox and befuddle him.
I didn't trust my gut though; had I done so, I might be sitting on a nice pile of money.

AJ’s immediate rematch clause, coupled with the winner of the Wilder-Fury third fight obliged to face Dillian Whyte (based on The Body Snatcher’s lawsuit against the WBC), means that this won’t happen anytime soon.
AJ’s alleged broken eye socket is likely to cause massive delays for Usyk.

Same here, on other forum I was called a biased eastern euro fanboy. What happened was the most obvious result, not saying that 100% obvious, but the most obvious out of the other ones. Bookmakers went crazy again.

I know but that's the real fight for real HW throne, just as I was predicting for a long timeEnlightened-One wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 18:49AJ’s immediate rematch clause, coupled with the winner of the Wilder-Fury third fight obliged to face Dillian Whyte (based on The Body Snatcher’s lawsuit against the WBC), means that this won’t happen anytime soon.

Fury can of course beat Usyk. However, the Gypsy King is always an enigma. 50/50 fight to me.DrDuke wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 18:43Yeah, Usyk is better. Plain and simple truth. Only the Gypsy King is better.Syntax Error wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 18:41I agree, but sadly, there will be one.

I predicted that only Fury would be a problem for Usyk. We will see, if we will alive.aicheligad wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 18:49Same here, on other forum I was called a biased eastern euro fanboy. I never called you a fool or anything remotely similar.
I also told the forum I was placing a bet on Usyk to beat AJ.
If you think I'm lying, then quote my words, otherwise stop talking nonsense and refrain from mentioning my name ever again!
Actually ValMar apologise and tell everyone you blatantly LIED!!!

Yes, only Fury can do that, but he fights once per 3 years + the never ending rematches... my guess is we will never see this fight, though I am sure if not the rematch, Usyk would like to face Fury next. What he cares about is glory, not money. He's the real sportsman.ValMar wrote: ↑25 Sep 2021, 18:54I predicted that only Fury would be a problem for Usyk. Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk - September 25, 2021
I could bet on Usyk win and Usyk on points, but I really believed, that Usyk can take Joshua's soul, and knock tired Joshua out. As we seen, it didn't happened but was possible. What's the most important - I'm very happy that Usyk won, he really deserved it, he's someone this sport needs, a real sportsman, not a marketing product, legacy is the only goal for him.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Oleksandr Usyk - September 25, 2021
I may have to watch it again but I had AJ winning this one. Sure, he was the worse for wear at the end and seemed to be a punch away from being put away but i thought that he won many of the middle rounds. I was very surprised by two of the scorecards.
I can’t say that it was the wrong fight strategy. AJ’s jab was fantastic tonight. It neutralized Usyk big time but I think we may have another eye socket dealio with AJ’s eye. No idea what punch did it but in that 10th or 11th round, AJ’s eye was done. Why are Brit’s eye sockets so easily busted? His has to be broken. As soon as it happens, boxers junk the game plan to think about their future eye issues and for good reason. We would all do the same but the big bastard finished it out like a man.

Some were saying that Usyk is another eastern euro guy who will get verified in the pro game, but he has that something special, seems like still there are people who are unable to notice it. He's a living legend and it's not the end of the story.
