How much would Campbell Hatton have got paid last night?

Post by JamesPhilips »

He was high on the bill but only a six rounder and surely Hearn likes to be tight with the purse strings….. but how much would Campbell be paid for that robbery? £10k? £50k? I honestly have no idea

A lot less than others in his camp I'd say

Also he’s restricted his Twitter account on who can answer after being criticised so much (nothing nasty just facts.) Fans are gonna really start hating him and laugh when he inevitably gets beat by any half decent fighter he faces. I feel a bit sorry for him but where does the blame lie? His family and promoters. Mathew should know he’s not up to it but I guess he’s getting his cut. Ricky must know also. No one can be that deluded, however many times people keep repeating “it’s a learning process”.

There is zero comparison between him and his dad. Everyone knew Ricky was the business when he was about 13.

Yeah unfortunately I fear that is right. Which is going to be really hard on the young man.

Best way forward is, if he wants to be a boxer, is they get him off the TV and he serves a proper apprenticeship. And that's only if he really, really, really has to do this, because frankly I wouldn't bother if I was him. I don't see a decent amateur let alone someone who is going to achieve anything as a pro.

:salut:
He isn't TV worthy just yet. He also won't win Brit fans by sliding onto PPVs just because of his name.
He could make a career for himself a bit like Eubank Jr, who has had a good work ethic and desire, despite having much in the way of what could be described as natural talent.
Thing is, Campbell gassed yesterday, so is he training hard enough?

Even worse than that he was interviewed after the fight and thought his opponent only won one round - Completely deluded, and his corner are as bad if they let him think that.

The lad has no business on TV cards, and Hearn needs a reality check. How is it good for anyone having him get a robbery like that? Ditto Bridges Vs French girl. It's a novelty act almost.

Too much about "marketability" over talent and ability. The fans even the casuals aren't that easily mugged. Get him on undercards of small hall shows at best.

Oh, didn't see that. Geeze.
I don't know how you can not notice getting repeatedly upper cutted and your shots missing.
I gave him the first round but that's the lot

Campbell seems a bit cocky. He’s not making himself liked. Like everyone I feel a bit sorry for the kid but his promoter, family and himself are to blame for the dislike…

As Ricky inferred “e’s a better shagger than fighter”

There must be a limit to what you can be paid for a 6 round fight I’d imagine. 50k seems high, that’s proper title money.

Martinez a hefty 2-4 actually looked decent. But I think Hattons dismal performance enhanced that.

10k could be close. How much did poor old Martinez get? 6 days notice and the sh1tty end of the stick. I hope he got a few Bob. He didn’t seem too bothered he knew the score(no pun).
