Matchroom down to 1 British World Champion

Post by garethhop »

Incredibly really. Just Okolie left.

No doubt they can pick off something at light heavyweight but there really isn’t much elsewhere I can see then challenging for.

Still, Campbell Hatton and all that.

Peaks and troughs...

A load of years back, didn't they have 13 British World Champions? (male only)

Technically he signed him to along term deal AFTER he won the world title as well. Not like he guided him to a world title.

Same with Wood, but he is Regular champion.

UK boxing is back in the transition period, like it is every 4-5 years.

in 2016, we had 13 world champions.

But I have a feeling a lot of the guys stepping up now, they're not as good. They're getting dubious decisions without trying that hard, and then when they are stepping up, they're getting stopped and out -classed.

It's been 5 years and Okolie is the only 2016 Olympian to win a world title? Is that right?

Who'd have thought a couple of years ago that Okolie would be the shining light at matchroom.

😂😂😂

It doesn’t bother me at all. I just post on it when I don’t agree with things.
