Joshua packs some glass in his chin

Post by 570991 »

Getting hurt by smaller guys who are barely called "punchers".

Jesus Christ. Ruiz could not drop even washed up Aerola.

Joshua is already done.

Broken mentality , glass jawed and terrible stamina.

Goodbye Anthony.

I've lost some money on you but whatever you BUM!

I don't think his chin is that bad. Ruiz buzzed him but he wasn't seriously hurt. Ref stopped it far too early IMO.

Klitschko absolutely flattened him with a punch that would have knocked out nearly every HW in the world. He got up to win.

He took Dillian's best punch and didn't go down. Then murdered Whyte.

He's not packing glass in the Amir Khan sense. Nobody has laid him out properly.

If he has a glass jaw so does Lennox who got sparked properly by 2 journeymen HW's in McCall and Rahman.

No Shit. Joshua got caught with a blow from a heavyweight, (Ruiz) to the temple. Shit happens. He needs to re-coup, get his confidence back. Any heavy can KO any other heavy with a well placed shot, even if it is "lucky". What is shameful in my eyes is putting him back in before he is ready. Get the mojo back. Confidence means a lot in boxing.

Nice post :TU:. Totally agree. Just rewatched the Whyte fight so yeah AJ took some biggies flush (before and after the bell) and gave back.

I don't think he's got a glass jaw. He's just a big, muscular fighter with limitations that some guys are good enough to take advantage of. Same with almost any other Boxer that ever lived. He's still a very good fighter.

Based on this assessment so do Fury, Wilder and Whyte. All the top guys in the division have glass jaws. It's almost like they're being punched by 250 lb athletes.

He's not a bum and he doesn't have a glass chin.

He is similar to Frank Bruno in that his frailties stem from poor stamina.

With Bruno, his poor stamina meant he could not react under pressure; with Joshua, it affects his confidence because he knows if he gets to aggressive, he might just gas out.

Joshua has heart and he can fight, it's just that he isn't quite good enough to be cream of the crop.

The Bruno comparisons are correct. Not a glass jaw, but not the best one, plus not enough big balls to fight the way out of the situations when being outboxed or bullied.

Joshua is definitely more skilled as a boxer than what Frank Bruno was.
