Should rematch clauses be banned by the board and world governing bodies?

Never understood the reason for Fury/Wilder signing a rematch clause after the 1st fight

Was the 2nd one caused by a rematch clause?

Don't think so or they wouldn't have been tied into 3rd fight?

Its absolute bollocks that Whyte has rematch clauses....it just smacks of Eddie having no faith. Eddie says all the major promoters do it...well

1....Whyte vs Wallin would not be considered a major fight in the states.

2...A bigger fight was Ruiz vs Arreola.....was there a rematch clause there

Agree Whyte/Wallin isn’t a major fight in the states. Will be a fairly big fight over here though I think.

Ruiz/Arreola probably didn’t have a rematch clause but they’re both with PBC who could easily facilitate a rematch if they wanted to. Also I don’t think either Ruiz or Arreola have individually been big sellers. Ruiz pre AJ wasn’t a big seller in the US although was boosted heavily from the AJ fights. I don’t think Ruiz brought 85% of the revenue for the fight - unlike say Kownacki when he fought Helenius with a rematch clause.
