Ooooo, ooo, I think I know this one. Is it that they make a nice change from the British hopes who get fed bums for most of their career to trick the British public into thinking they're "real" world champs, in that they'll actually get over to America and mix it in the real home of boxing while they learn their trade?

The same British "champs" who almost invariably get exposed as shamps or chumps as soon as they fight someone half decent who learned their trade Stateside?

Collins-Eubank proved that even a grade B Irish fighter schooled in the States can beat the best the British scene offers up.

So is Muhammed Ali if you dig far enough back! :o

I dont think anyone is trying to deny the contribution of the Irish and those of Irish decent in our sport: it has been huge.

Hey Dara,I would'nt say he is wowing the states or topping the bill at the garden.
He is gaining a decent support on the east coast thats for sure.
As for topping the bill,as far as I know the only times he has fought at the garden were on the the undercard of Miguel Cotto fights.

One more thing....you have heard of Ricky Hatton right?
