Good bout. Bennie would have to be up for it because Minter could outbox him, but I'd probably pick a prime Briscoe, behind on points, winning on a cut eye TKO9. Bennie would have been one of Minter's hardest punching opponents and while it's very plausible Minter could stay outside and outbox him, like you say he had a tendency to want to mix it up, which would make his task more difficult vs Bennie

I'm with you. If Minter could stay outside and outbox Bad Bennie behind his southpaw jabs and combinations, he would have a chance to win a decision. However, if the prime Bad Bennie caught Minter with his left hooks and right hands that bust his right or left eye or both, then Briscoe would likely stop him on a cut or a TKO win in the late rounds.

I'd take Briscoe to stop him-around 8 rounds. Briscoe was way too strong and Minter wasn't the caliber of guy to outbox a peak Briscoe. Minter was at least a level below guys like Feo Rodriguez, Hagler, Monzon, Griffith.
