I have no problem with strip joints, dwarf-tossing, Andrew Dice clay etc etc . I am playing the Devil's advocate. I find it bizarre how twisted some individuals' moral compasses are... I find the hypocrisy untenable.

So for the record:

1. I seriously enjoy staring at women's t1ts (& fannies for that matter.)
2. I think there are far too many immigrants in tis country (in terms of density, England is the 4th most populated country in the world - the last thing we need is more people....especially those of an incompatible culture...the history of conflict is that of differing peoples that don't agree - why do people think 21st century Britain would be any different?)
3. I have no problems with homosexuals or any sexual activity which does not hurt a third party (at leats one which does not want to be hurt.)
4. I hate Chavs, white trash, rude boys and other anti social elements.
5. I believe in democracy and meritocracy

i love your passion mr livingstone cole but the immigration situation is not as clear cut as you state. i agree with the tenet of your argument but the finer detail is not as rosy as you imply. i also hold mr benn in high regard, indeed i bumped into him at a strip joint in west london only last week. we chatted about the current state of the labour party for about 10 minutes then he pushed a fifty into the garter of a leggy russian beauty and was gone. i know more than one immigrant personally who have scammed the system in this country to very great advantage. life is a very wide experience, wider than we shall ever know....

Maybe you were playing devils advocate E, but I'm not. Strip joints are degrading and furthermore they are tackie as hell. I'd rather be fed to the dogs. I'm not prudish in any respects, I've been to live sex and fetish nights but that is one entirely different kettle of fish. Those nights are for the reciprical entertainment of both sexes, strip joints are for the enjoyment of men only.

Enjoying the female form is obviously not in itself degrading or anything to be ashamed of, however the circumstances in which the woman is perceived is degrading.
I don't think it's coincidence that in those types of establishments you find a lot of men you'd never want to introduce to you sister, men which see women as objects and form the chorus of 'get your tits out' to any girls wlking by on a friday night. The places are brimming with those misogynistic pricks that believe if a woman is raped it's her own fault for being drunk and wearing a short skirt. These men have no consideration or understanding of womens feelings or rights and bring shame on the male gender.

Obviously not all the guys that go to these places are bad men, but a lot of them have issues with women that funnily enough doesn't affect them, more the women that they meet.

And the immigration? Well more people leave the country than enter it each year, so that kills the over population arguement. Secondly the people that enter the country are of working age and as such can and do contribute vast amounts of cash to the British tax system.
Furthermore any culture that settles in England only enriches our own culture. It's this purest notion of 'Britishness' thrown around by our tabloids that creates a lot of trouble. Where the hell do you think British people come from? I know I'm a descendent of the Vikings, how many others are there? Even the word AngloSaxon is from the joining of two different peoples. Basicaly when they say British, they mean white.

And yes all these bilions of immigrants each year actually contribute more to the tax system than they take out. Plus they do all the jobs that we feel are beneath us, mainly factory work, or jobs that we don't want, like driving taxis. Historically Asians could not be employed due to the rascist nature of the country which is why they ran their own corner shops.

And why do you think they want to come here? To slag around in nice free house with a free car stealing our jobs and breathing OUR air? Or is it because of the extent and methods employed by the British empire? Even now our economy works on the basis of surpressing others to make ours stronger. there could be another 12 pages on how we have an ethical duty to take in foreign nationals of countries we blow the hell out of. And when Immigrants come over they often detained in prisons while there claim is processed, if they are lucky accommadation is found for them, usually in the most deprived areas in housing that the RSPCA wouldn't be happy if dogs were in, they are not given money, but food vouchers for which no change is given. They are told what benefits they may receive however in the vast majority of councills and boroughs they are told this in English, regardless of whether or not they can speak it.

They are not allowed to find a job. They are not given a national insurance number and cannot set up a bank account. You will find that there is a remarkably higher rate of charity work undertaken by immigrants than any other population in the U.K (including the ever so moral British). They do this because they want to contribute.

People make an enemy of the migrant population because they find it difficult to understand, ignorance is far easier than understanding, hatred is easier than understanding. The migrants are the poorest population in the U.K and yet it is the people living around the breadline that have the biggest misconceptions about immigrants, I'd have thought this similarity would infer consolidation.

People act aggressively and harbour these views through desperation and it's usally more common in the lower classes, no doubt because they have their intelligience supressed with T.V, stripjoints and tabloid newwspapers. We all have a common enemy whom we need to act on to enforce change and that's Mr right wing capitalism. Increase minimum wage, increase workers rights, increase living standards, increase the welfare state, improve the NHS. All attainable through increasing tax for high earners and increasing corporation tax. Failing that having Tony Benn as PM.
You need some data points to support your arguments. I believe your claims are based on assumption and wishful thining rather than truth. I want to see data that says more people leave the country than enter it. Intuitively I don't believe it. I am willing to be proved wrong but have to see figures.

The question of immiration/culture is a touchy one. But how can we expect people with mutually incompatable values to get on? The history of war is the history of clash of cultures. Because of an idealistic wankfest (and actually hypothetically a noble one) we suddenly expect opposite cultures to get on??????

Can you imagine a Muslim, a Jew, a homosexual and an atheist humanist getting on and loving ech other? Of course not - they are mutually abrasive positions. I love our libertarian open society, but this is incmpatable with Islam. People are group animals, they naturally gravitate towards like minded individuals (birds of a feather etc) - and however much you wish they could coexist, doesn't make it necessarilly so. You cannot deny the essence of human nature - ie people define and feel closer to social circles, hence why some people support Wigan and others Chelsea.

If everyone tjought like you, it could work...but they don't....hence you are beinga naive idealist, you wish, but you don't consider the reality.....

God knows, I think he might have been the Sunderland man its a bit of a blur. I was prob taking the piss out of Phillips and Sunderland to be honest not that I have anything against them but I love a windup when I am drunk!

But he swang for me I dodged to the side and then smashed him one. Self defence obviously!

This is in the back of a black cab with him sat facing me. We had shared a cab with these guys as it was so busy.

I seem to remember trying to drag him out of the cab back at our hotel!

Classic. How is that every time you have to share a cab, you end up with some complete arseholes?

Of course, anyone who's shared a taxi with me when I'm pissed has probably thought the same thing.

If memory serves correctly the row was about Kevin Campbell and we had got in an MPV taxi with some Everton fans after trying to hail a cab on a freezing January night in Machester for what seemed like hours.

Nick didn't think much of Campbell and made it quite clear, I remember the cab swerving when it kicked off, the cabbie wanted to chuck us all out and leave us to fight on the M62 but we told him that wasn't going to happen. Got back to the hotel in the end....

Happy Days.....

Does he talk with a stammer, as if permanently in fear, always scared of something (or someone) coming for him? Did this begin around January 2000?

If so that's him after my man Nick touched his face.
