I tipped Wilder for the KO for first two fights, not gonna make same mistake again, obviously with his power and the knockdowns he scored in first fight I'd never truly write him off but siding with Fury here this time, regardless what shape he's in, he knows he can walk Wilder down and hurt him, Fury was outboxing Wilder in first fight all around the knockdowns whereas when when Wilder was down twice in rematch he was being beaten up, I think Fury is just too good for him, probably late stoppage

The Gypsy King will generally repeat the 2nd bout. Earlier or later, Wilder gets stopped, but it'll be the same beating, if not a worse one for the Big Dosser.

I just wonder what the time away has done to these two, physically and mentally. And which one will find their peak form, fastest. These two had two very unpredictable fights.

Although Fury absolutely decimated Wilder last time, you never see the same Fury two fights in a row. And he can be hurt by Wilder, just a little.

That said, if he isn’t pulling out, you’d think he’s probably ready…

Wilder’s a strange one. Did he take responsibility for the previous fight yet, and rebuild? Or has he completely tricked himself?

Hope to see Fury vs Whyte afterwards - if Dillian beats Wallin.

NSAC Changes Referee, One Judge From Its Original Panel Of Officials

Referee: Russell Mora

Judges
Tim Cheatham
Dave Moretti
Steve Weisfeld

A different referee and one new judge will work the third Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder heavyweight title fight than the original list of officials the Nevada State Athletic Commission approved.

Boxing Scene has learned that the NSAC has assigned veteran Nevada referee Russell Mora to Fury-Wilder III on Saturday night. It initially approved Connecticut’s Mike Ortega as the referee for their July 24 fight at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Their fight for Fury’s WBC title was postponed 2½ months because Fury tested positive for COVID-19 early in July.

Two of the three judges originally chosen for Fury-Wilder III – Nevada residents Tim Cheatham and Dave Moretti – still will score their rescheduled fight at T-Mobile Arena. New Jersey’s Steve Weisfeld will join them at ringside for this ESPN/FOX Sports Pay-Per-View main event.

Another Nevada judge, Patricia Morse Jarman, originally was chosen to work this high-profile bout between Fury (30-0-1, 21 KOs), of Manchester, England, and Wilder (42-1-1, 41 KOs), of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Morse Jarman scored Yordenis Ugas a 115-113 winner over Manny Pacquiao in her most recent top assignment, a 12-round fight for Ugas’ WBA “super” welterweight title.

Moretti and Weisfeld each scored the Cuban-born Ugas a 116-112 victor of what the Philippines’ Pacquiao has decided will be the final fight of his celebrated career. Mora also was the referee for the Pacquiao-Ugas fight August 21 at T-Mobile Arena.

Moretti and Weisfeld were two of the three judges for the Fury-Wilder rematch in February 2020 as well. They both had Fury in front 59-52 entering the seventh round of that scheduled 12-rounder at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The third judge that night, Connecticut’s Glenn Feldman, scored Fury a 58-53 winner through six rounds.

Fury won that bout by seventh-round technical knockout because Wilder’s former assistant trainer, Mark Breland, threw in the towel to prevent Fury from taking too much punishment. Wilder was knocked down once apiece in the third and fifth rounds of that one-sided bout.

Judges decided the outcome of the first Fury-Wilder fight in December 2018. Wilder floored Fury once apiece in the ninth and 12th rounds, but the former champion settled for a 12-round split draw that night at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

California’s Alejandro Rochin scored that 12-rounder for Wilder, 115-111. Canada’s Robert Tapper scored their first fight for Fury, 114-112.

England’s Phil Edwards had their first encounter even, 113-113.

I skipped Wilder because I really can't bear to hear him talk anymore he's so inarticulate. I listened to Fury but you can tell he's bored trotting out the same thing: what more is there to say? He's said it all hundreds of times already. I thought they might face off at the end but I guess they must've agreed to not do it because Wilder can't deal with being anywhere near Evil Fury.

Fury's arms looked bigger. That's the only thing I got from that. And the ring girls were fit. One of them noticeably broke character, stopped grinning and looked slightly concerned when Fury said he might torture wilder and make him quit.

Anyone else read this morning that Sugarhill thinks Tyson will weigh in at about 290lbs, so just shy of 21 stones ?! I bloody hope not. He's been in two training camps, not sure how he could end up so big with all this constant training.

There's not much to say about this fight indeed. Of course, it's far from the worst matchup, it's among the best actually. But it was a bit frustrating to hear about the decision in the court, when the bout for the undisputed championship seemed to be almost made.

So, yeah, everything is pretty clear about Fury-Wilder III. I'll be surprised, if Wilder somehow wins, even by a KO. Mission impossible. The Gypsy King is all wrong for The Big Dosser, in his head, levels above him in the ring.

Fury will poleaxe Wilder in several rounds.

Igbo, also called Ibo, people living chiefly in southeastern Nigeria who speak Igbo, a language of the Benue-Congo branch of the Niger-Congo language family. The Igbo may be grouped into the following main cultural divisions: northern, southern, western, eastern or Cross River, and northeastern.

Yeah, but it's never spelled Ido.

Or Edo, as its spelt in the quote. That hasn't come from Wilder has it. Well... I'd assume neither him nor Fury are very good at spelling to be fair.

Someone mentioned a good point on twitter earlier, if Wilder is taking another sustained beating will Malik Scott have the bottle to throw in the towel? Scott showed when he fought Wilder he's petrified of him

Hahaha, I got it wrong too!

It just sounds all like a load of old hooey to me, more nonsense to take Wilders mind off the beating he's likely to get.

Wilder's shown himself to be extremely delusional and emotionally brittle.

The big dosser.

Wilder has talked about killing people for ages and said in the build up before the fight was moved that he wanted it to be Fury that fulfilled this prophecy. He's a nasty dickhead c*nt. I hope Fury's new "knockout power" is real, because it would be far more satisfying seeing him unconscious. I don't want to see him stopped on his feet and sustain more brain damage than he already has. The shorter it is, the better.
