Well, he simply wasn't good enough for that, so technically it's his fault, it's just not something bad. It's bad that fighters like that or even worse ones grab belts here and there.

Anyway, Price deserves respect. His amateur bakground is excellent, he was entertaining in the pros. He was giving it all in the ring and provided numerous spectacular kill-or-be-killed affairs.

Have a good time in retirement, Pricey!

My favourite memory of Price was when he fought a decent Indian in the Commonwealth games final. He was the team captain, was knocked down 3 times but came back to win.

He was really good fighter when he was confident as he showed up to Thompson and he had plenty of heart too - just struggled to take a decent punch.

Good for him. Always admired his approach to the sport. It must have been so tough to suffer your first losses to people who failed drug tests. I wish he could have seen off Povetkin!

Respect for him to standing up for Audley after the Wilder kayo to Richard "Banter" Keys who was belittling Harrison. He showed a lot of integrity there.

There were lots of signs he was chinny in the ams, and rumours of him being hurt in sparring, but I really wanted to believe he was the real deal.

Once he got spanked was never the same, gunshy, which in turn invited people to throw their hands.

And he has been entertaining.

Hope his retirement is great. Loved watching him, win or lose its been a roller coaster.

I've never understood why he took the Thompson rematch straight away. Losing it meant it was a long, long way back for him. I've heard an interview with Kellie Maloney where she said she got out of boxing when fighters started listening to their lawyers instead of their managers. Was she referring to Price with that comment?

Should have retired when Povetkin almost decapitated him.

Hopefully made a few bob and won't need to worry about the future. With his amateur background he should make a good trainer.
