Not really looked too closely at the undercard until just now, but what really stands out is the records of the fighters involved: there’s a lot of good matchups record wise, not the usual one-sided 6-36 records you see on the matchroom stuff.

Fury talking about mental health really needs to stop when he counts one of the biggest drug dealers and scumbags in Europe as a good friend

I normally think Kate Abdo is one of the best of the hot journalists out there....but she was awful yesterday. Wtf was it with her American twang when talking to wilder and use of "amen" and then her going all cockney when talking to Fury and use of "mate".

Shes a very talented multi lingual sports journalist who should have got the Jama gig...but that was terrible

They should have just had someone else. Why they use women for these.

She nearly lost full control towards the end,

No signs of him being not in. Except the lame spy-in-the-camp stories by the team Bum Squad and by the b!tching of the offended Eddeh.
I don’t think Tyson was prepared at all for the original date and given how his daughter was in hospital for a little while after being born I can understand people questioning whether he’s fully prepared. It’s only really been 6 weeks since his daughter left hospital and whilst he was doing some running he was also at the hospital quite a bit which will be mentally tiring.

I’m sure he’s trained hard for 6 weeks since then and compared to how he was for their first fight I’m sure he’s in loads better shape but he may not be in the same shape as their last fight. Still should be more than enough to beat Wilder though as Tyson’s a natural.
He's been in training for nearly a year according to him. Barely a couple of weeks off would affect.
We all know Tyson talks a fair bit of rubbish. He may have been training but there’s a difference between doing cardio bits and the proper training he was doing before the Wilder rematch.

His training situation seemed a right mess when this 3rd Wilder fight was announced and big John said it several times. Tyson in the US lounging by the pool with his boy with him - that’s not proper training for a big fight.

Fury looks in good condition for him. So there goes the undermotivated, not taking it serious theories.
Will be a repeat of the 2nd fight I feel with the ref stopping it as Malik won’t have the minerals to do so.

Bob’s angry at Mike for the way Mike pushed the Valdez drug issue. He said ESPN should fire him.
Yeah definitely, I think Coppinger was trying to bait him too the way he phrased that too.

Not sure what Coppingers at, I'm sure Bob is probably fairly close to the top guys at ESPN.
Yeah - Copp didn’t need to bait him but at the same time Bob’s the one who’s been calling for Copp to be sacked because of how hard he pushed the Valdez drug issue.

Copp is employed by ESPN. Certainly not good for his career prospects to be at odds with their main boxing promoter albeit I don’t think he did much wrong in the first place - just reported the big issue re: allowing the fight to proceed.
What was the reason Dan Rafael left ESPN? From what I gather it was to cut costs. Dan is fairly respected even though he has his moments too, not sure they should have let him go.

Surely he won't talk the stuff like he isn't well-prepared. No athlete will do that. The thing is, he looks general by his recent standards and it's only known about a couple of breaks during his camp. The other things can be only guessed, but there's no solid evidence for anything bad. Objectively I don't see any reason for suspecting him being not prepared.

They've always put on decent undercards.

Remember the first fight.

Joyce vs. Kiladze

Ortiz vs. Hammer was it?

Jarret Hurd was on the card as well.

Not the best fights, but was decent at the time.

Wilder is thick as pig shit. Scott isn’t. I’m certain they have a credible game plan but once Tyson starts mauling and in-fighting and beating him to the punch, Wilder will revert back to type and his demons will appear from the 2nd.
Fury TKO5 after the 1st round being close… and then everything one sided.
Scott will be lying to Wilder all through the fight and his health is at serious risk.

Cost cutting. He would have been on a good wage and just covered boxing. Copp also does a bit of UFC and I think he’s a better reporter than Dan Rafael.

Dan comes across quite bitter now with Copp - he’s very quick to have a pop.

Boxer v puncher fairly evenly matched, they say always go with the boxer, although I can’t help usually going with the puncher. I think this is a much tougher fight than a lot of people see.

Surely Wilder won’t be as bad as last time, where he casually seemed to think he’d just bide his time then catch fury again. Think he might put things right this time & shockingly catch Tyson with a big right hand. I’d put a bet on wilder by KO but I want the gypsy King to win, so hope he proves me wrong again.

Yep I agree. Wilder wont be as under prepared this time; so Fury is not going to have that element of surprise.
I really don`t see Fury being better than last time - although I expect Wilder will be ... and being the puncher he is, he will only need that little opening and opportunity to switch Fury off.

I am not bothered who wins; I don`t rate either highly.
I think Fury scrapes a win in a complete stinker, and his stock plummets.

I don't have BT sport's, but it's on the TV guide on Sky. Can I pay for the fight like I do for sky ppv just by clicking the red button?

Also what time is the main shin dig on?

You would hope Wilder has made some adjustments.
Thing is, over 40 pro fights and you go back into that catalogue and he is pretty much the same. Same weight, same weapon, same lack of anything else. Very average HW's out boxing him until he sparks them out.
I'm an optimistic guy, I believe fighters can change. And maybe Wilder has. I would love to see a bit more in his game.
But there are a few red flags.
His new trainer isn't very experienced.
He is still surrounded by relentless cheerleaders.
He is unaccepting of his loss being on him.

I eagerly await the fight, open minded ;-)

Fury doesn't need an element of surprise. It ridiculous for Wilder, if he, being a pro-boxer, had been surprised with the other guy punching him in the face. Wilder is simply worse. And his punching power somehow worked worse from the first bout to the second one, as he landed clean in each of them and with absolutely no effect 2nd time around.

My own opinion - and opinion is all we can reliably give - is that Wilder was expecting an easier night in the rematch. Arrogance and an absolute belief that he only needed to land once in 36 minutes to win.

I even doubt he took the 1st fight seriously. He was tongue in cheek with Tyson and John before the 1st fight - they were all mates winding up the media back then. I am unsure what, or who, made things so bad natured for the second .. but my opinion is that Wilder went into the 1st fight thinking an easy night and to just put on a show before closing it with a spectacular KO of the pudding in front of him.

Ok things were very close; but he had put Tyson down twice and thought with a bit extra training he would keep him down next time. 2nd fight totally surprised him, he had no contingency plan .. and is clearly not intelligent enough to adapt.

As said; I dont think too highly of either guy.
I just hope its an entertaining fight .. and it turns out to be a fight, and not Tyson smothering to steal a win against a focused and prepared Wilder.

What is Wilder going to bring that he hasn't brought before as a 36 year old with 43 fights he's fought the same way every single time. he has one great weapon, the big straight right, he has a pretty terrible jab in terms of a guy who is 6'7, sloppy as shit hooks, bad defence, looks absolutely all over the place when anybody puts it to him, no survival instincts or Ring IQ, falls all over the place in attack and when on the backfoot especially.

NO inside game whatsoever, and like a lot of big punchers, struggles when he gets hit himself, Wilder made harder work of Eric Molina than had any top flight heavyweight has the right after taking that left hook which had him dancing all over the place. People also forget that because Wilder got the brutal knockout over Breazeale in round , Breazeale hurt Wilder with a shot that he threw with his eyes closed when Wilder came in to attack. Fury was hurting him with jabs.

And another thing that Carl Frampton pointed out, he doesn't have the stamina to fight at a high pace.

That is a fornicating hell of a lot of weaknesses, but his careful matchmaking has covered that, but even THEN he manages to look dreadful when someone lands on him and puts it on him in any way

If he couldn't beat the Fury who showed up for the first fight after those dreadful comeback fights, then he can't beat any version of him

Wilder carries Broner types of unlikablity , a cretin of a man and a pathetic embarrassment, I'd like to see Fury load his gloves this time tbh, it would be his own fault

I can't believe I only found out about Wilder and his team chasing BJ Saunders out of Nandos in Belfast and down Shaftesbury Square 3 years ago just yesterday, now there is an instance where I wouldn't mind Wilder chinning the other guy, Billy Joe is one of the biggest cretins on boxing, and I've never seen a fighting man run so fast
