From the BBC boxing page, think she is several stone over weight

Shannon Courtenay is set to be stripped of her WBA bantamweight belt after missing the weight for her title defence against Jamie Mitchell.

The 28-year-old Briton weighed in 2.5lbs over the 188lbs (13st 6lb) limit on Friday afternoon in Liverpool.

She weighed in but didn’t make weight. Did the face off afterwards and no one seemed surprised so she won’t be trying to lose the weight.

Yeh I just watched the DAZN video.

It’s on here. Can tell by her face that she knew she wasn’t making weight.

She turned down 6 opponents for this card, wouldn't take any fight offered. I wonder is this more coming from Joe Gallagher than Natasha. I like Natasha but at the same time she's 38 next year she doesn't have that long left so you'd think they'd take those fights.

In relation to Courtenay, it was interesting DAZN done some promos for her on their YouTube channel this week.

But if she won't bother making weight for her first title defence, it shouldn't be that high up the card with some quality bouts earlier.

I'd say Eddie and Joe G probably won't be working together much anymore.

Gallagher may be trying to get Jonas onto Sky.

That was quite a funny weigh in - all involved - Diamonte, Hearn, McGuigan and the commission look like they are staring at Liam's meat and 2 veg for minutes!

I saw a Gallagher interview this morning. He looks like he’s aged 10 years in the last 12 months and I find him very tough to like. He was saying how Natasha needed the money, single parent etc. but didn’t say why she only wanted an 8 rounder against crap opposition. Surely she did pretty well being co main on the Sky PPV 6 months back?!

Those are the type of fights I hate - someone fighting a well overmatched opponent who’s not even trying to win - so I’m pretty glad it’s not happening. She lost a close fight against arguably the best female fighter ever - why does she need a soft comeback fight?!

I can see Tasha fighting on the Boxxer show in Liverpool in November.

Yeah I side with Hearn on this one. Agree I'd say they are talking to Boxxer. At the same time most of the big names around her weight are linked to Matchroom.

Gallagher said that outside of Liam Smith, Natasha had the biggest profile and popularity. The guy’s deluded and is hurting Natasha’s career. There’s a reason FW stopped working with him a few years back, he’s had problems with Eddie/Sky (accusing them of racism probably wasn’t the brightest idea) and he’s seemingly had issues in recent years with his best boxers.

Anyone got any thoughts on Solomon Dacres Soko? Soko is 7/2. Just not been especially impressed by Dacres and it’s only his 3rd pro fight. Of course we have the chance of an Thomas Hearn decision special but it looks a tough contest

When my lass is on the blob, she's capable of knocking out a horse. I'm putting all my money on the Baby Faced Pat Butcher.

Hopefully the Pat Butcher fight will be first on the bill now as no point putting it on higher up the card. Wonder how much Eddie deducts from the purse for her ?

I quite like him. He still has a lot of improving to do and doesn’t have big power but I think he’s a tidy boxer with a good jab and workrate. Could do with a bit more head movement though and I’ve no idea if he can take a shot.

Sokolowski’s had plenty of time to prepare for this and deserved to beat Adeleye so I like the fight. Still think Dacres will win though - probably on points.
