Wilder a true warrior
Wilder a true warrior
Showed the heart of a champion tonight. Hats off to him on an epic Heavyweight title run. Hope he doesn’t retire and fights some relevant heavys.

Re: Wilder a true warrior
Wilder is gutsy, but he's a douchebag and got was he had deserved. Credit to him as a fighter, but I enjoyed him being obliterated, as it had been promised by the Gypsy King.
Re: Wilder a true warrior
I think Wilder should retire. He doesn’t need the money and he will end up a slobbering vegetable if he continues.

I was all ready to give him credit, respect and even like him.
Then he goes and refusing a handshake and is no doubt lying in his bed with an icepack on his head scribbling down a list of excuses.

Re: Wilder a true warrior
took his beating like a man, a true warrior, then shows fury no respect and probably ready for another set of wild excuses and slandering of people who care for him
i can only wank so hard for him

Amazing heart. He emptied the tank and kept his belief, even when he was clearly exhausted.
Hopefully stays well and offers fury some respect in the coming days.

Lots of fighters take beatings from better fighters.
Re: Wilder a true warrior
No doubt. Too bad he's an insane you know what outside of the ring. He had no give in him and wasn't afraid to go out on his shield.

That he again showed no sportsmanship once again after Fury offered the olive branch after the fight says a lot about him.
But as a boxer he is a tough as old boots.

Re: Wilder a true warrior
Wilder had an incredibly easy path to a paper belt and has been stopped twice now by a guy not really known for his power against the top tier. Wilder is a muscular brawler who was carefully matched until he couldn’t be, and then he lost.

Re: Wilder a true warrior
Even though he did win the belt from the weakest champion (and a paper one at that in Stiverne), Wilder did beat King Kong Ortiz. I did think King Kong was going to beat him in their first and second fight. Not saying that Wilder's reign was as good as Joshua's, but he does have that very high-level win that solidified him as a top HW.punchoutsb wrote: ↑10 Oct 2021, 01:25 Wilder had an incredibly easy path to a paper belt and has been stopped twice now by a guy not really known for his power against the top tier. You miss the reference to his “epic title run” in the op?ironbeard wrote: ↑10 Oct 2021, 01:27Thank you, Dr. Obvious.punchoutsb wrote: ↑10 Oct 2021, 01:25 Wilder had an incredibly easy path to a paper belt and has been stopped twice now by a guy not really known for his power against the top tier. Yes but they usually acknowledge the better man, some even have breakfast the next morning with the other team

Yes, his best win came 40 fights into his career against a vastly overrated 40 year old.Mexi-Box wrote: ↑10 Oct 2021, 01:29Even though he did win the belt from the weakest champion (and a paper one at that in Stiverne), Wilder did beat King Kong Ortiz. I don't know he's as much a true warrior as a true loser and fool. That long beating he took shook quite a few marbles out of his basket. And, he didn't have too many marbles to begin with.

I've never been a fan of Deontay Wilder, but I've gained some new respect for him tonight.
He showed he's a warrior - there's no quit in him.

Re: Wilder a true warrior
I hate to speak ill of someone’s future prospects, but Wilders past paints a picture of someone who won’t be wealthy for long. Hopefully he’s changed his ways so he can provide for his kids after the money from getting beaten up by Fury runs out.
