Nobody beats Tyson Fury today

Post by DrDuke »

The Gypsy King can box, the Gypsy King can fight, he can think, move, hit hard and roughhouse, he is fast and dodges punches even weighting 280 pounds, he gets up and fights back if he takes something really big.

He dethroned Klitschko, which had been considered a miracle at that time, he objectively beat Wilder 3 times.

For me he's an ATG already and nobody beats him today.

Any suggestions, who can beat Fury in the nearest future?

Usyk? Joshua? Joyce? Sanchez? Anderson? Anybody else?

I have Fury as the best Heavy, but I’d also make him and Usyk a pick em. I’d want to see the weigh in before I made my final pick.

Btw, I think Fury carried too much weight now against Wilder. The lighter version would be even better. But definitely he won't be that big against the likes of Usyk, who can move and dodge punches.

I rate Usyk over Fury at this point. Wilder was spent after the 1st round and Fury almost gave the fight away and took 11 rounds to stop a complete fish out of water. Usyk would've finished Wilder earlier and will box rings around Fury.

Fury wasn't forcing it for obvious reasons and he was roughhousing Wilder. It would be completely different fight against Usyk.

klit was nearly 40 and im still not convinced wilder was ever very good. I still think fury is the number 1 heavyweight but i dont think he has proved it. sanchez and anderson are nowhere near fury. Usyk, AJ and joyce are the ones that id like to see him in with.

He got hit with stupid shots because he stood there like an idiot. Fury can't put Usyk's back to the ropes - circle and jab out, rinse and repeat.

I predicted Usyk to school Joshua even before he moved up to HW, but you jackoffs said he was too small and had no power.

Usyk got hit against Joshua too. Now imagine a lighter than today Fury catching Usyk, but not standing like Joshua, while going inside instead and roughing it up.

I can't imagine it because Fury simply can't get Usyk on the ropes and even if he did, do you think Usyk would just languish there?

Will he have other options? Fury ain't no Chisora.

You guys really need to rewatch Fury/Cunningham. I know everyone will say, "but that was a long time ago," and, "Fury has improved." Seriously, that was still one of Fury's toughest fights, and he hasn't fought that style since then. Fury got banged up and could only answer Cunningham by fouling his way to a KO win.

Now, I will say that it was no indicator for how he'd fare against Klitschko. At the time, I thought Fury was a serious force even though people were laughing at the thought of him beating Klitschko after getting "dropped by a CW." Styles make fights, and Fury does well against plodding HW's.

I will say that he can't come at the weight he did tonight and beat Usyk. I think he'd be far too slow against the fast, athletic Usyk. Plus, Usyk has really grown into HW. He honestly didn't look out of place against Joshua in the ring, and he had him hurt several times. If Fury beats Usyk, then he can say whatever, but until then, there is a challenger he needs to face. You don't win fights based on hypotheticals, especially not when the guy waiting in the wings has a much better overall resume.

If he beats Whyte, Joshua? Usyk, and then take on Joyce.

That’s a solid threat, and 3 Olympic Gold Medalists (if you count Joyce)

Joyce is harder than we think

I can’t see Joyce giving Fury much trouble at all. Terrible stylistic matchup for him.

Fury’s worst enemy is himself. Let’s be real, he was fat in there tonight.

Joyce is probably the worst matchup. Joshua will be broken down. Usyk will be roughhoused. Joyce has freakish chin and he's big. But Fury can outbox him.

Joyce is a good punching bag, not a good fighter. 😅

Did you see those punches he ate against Takam? I can't believe he ate those like candy.
