Tony DeMarco - R.I.P.

Post by Alguiffer »

Tony DeMarco - a tough as nails welterweight who fought them all (Kid Gavilan, Carmen Basilio, Johnny Saxton, Denny Moyer, Gaspar Ortego to name a few) has passed away at the age of 89. Mr. DeMarco (58-12-1) was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2019. There is a nice statue of him in Boston's North End.

So sad to hear of his passing. Wasn't he the oldest living former champ? Great warrior from a bygone age. :box:
