I think this will be pulled in fight week. Look at the undercard and the real co-main event Babic doesn’t even have an opponent. Not hard to find a cruiser/heavyweight with a plastic record but they don’t even seem to be trying.
What do DAZN do from 7pm until 10pm really.
Smacks of shite.

Nothing yet.. This is the latest so far..

at least it's not £20 ppv.

According to my DAZN sub date, i'll be getting this and the any card before Nov 17 for £7.99,

that includes the Kid Galahad card.. which is not that appealing.

Nah - it won’t be pulled. Whyte’s not the kind of character to pull out close to a fight and they’ve sold c.12,000 tickets.

Still crazy how little of the undercard they’ve announced and I don’t quite get it either as if they add on a couple of semi decent fights it doesn’t give those fighters much chance to shift tickets or promote it.

Refunding 12,000 won’t be devastating for Hearn… Whyte is probably on a 2mil purse for this…. Does he risk a WBC shot when there’s a chance he can be completely outboxed by Wallin (I’ve not seen enough of Wallin to judge).
It’s the Babic fight that tells me it won’t happen. He’s been TBA for over a week now. He’s one of Eddie Hearn’s entertainment fighters and he fights over 2 divisions. Should’ve had a replacement straight away.
It’s weird AF.
I can’t see Hearn risking Whyte here; he’s potentially giving up a stadium fight night and probably 500k PPVs on DAZN’s first PPV show.
Whyte loses…. He’s gonna be fodder for up and comers.
Risk all that for a purse of a couple of mil? Ffs Saunders got set up for life from the Canelo fight.
Huge risk.

If there’s no show then it’ll open themselves up for even more criticism which after the DAZN PPV questionnaire and the response to the Galahad show won’t be wanted.

Whyte will also want to be active. We’ve seen how inactivity has been affecting fighters so if Whyte were to go straight into the Fury fight then we’re looking at April next year so Whyte would have had 14 months out. He’ll be thinking of making a statement against Wallin, pocket a couple of million and then be in good shape for Fury.

I’m expecting a few announcements for the undercard come Monday/Tuesday next week.

Agree, it should go ahead. Hearn needs it to, and Whyte is being paid millions for a fight he should win.

They may be deliberating on the Babic opponent. Dave Allen probably asking for big money at short notice. It's all being sold on Whyte Wallin really.

I managed to get shot of my tickets for a loss of 20 quid… was desperate to do so so that I can have a weekend in Portsmouth watching Bolton.
Don’t mind the main event at all but can’t be arsed sitting in the 02 with zero to look forward to until 10pm.
I’ll watch the fight on DAZN in some Southsea dump wankered.

 nice..
I cancelled my DAZN and I'm not missing it. If the Whyte fight turns out good, I'll wait until its available elsewhere for free. Nothing else on that card I find remotely tempting.

DAZN usually post the fight on YouTube quicker than SKY.

Yep, and I don't mind watching some fights after the fact. Sometimes it's better if the fight was close so I can look out more carefully as to who won what round, then go on the Internet and whinge about it

Feel a bit sorry for Eddie… he’s definitely not the main guy at DAZN but obviously has very little sway. The top guys probably just see him purely as an employee and not a major decision maker.
They have put him there to be shot at. I have no doubt he was sold DAZN on the premis that PPV was indeed dead.
I have a feeling this ‘partnership’ will go tits up very quickly.
If Whyte beats Wallin and fights for the vacant belt he will command a fee that will require PPV… and it’ll be against a Breazeale, Ortiz, Arreola opponent.
Everyone is going to get rinsed here.

Like I’ve said before, I’m not massively opposed to PPV as a concept, I do understand that mega-fights are difficult to put on without it, and any promoter / broadcaster connected to someone like AJ would be crazy for not taking advantage of their popularity.

But guys like Whyte / Chisora / Bellew / Brook / Eubank Jr (ffs!) etc should never ever have been PPV fighters, it makes a mockery of the sport and treats the fans like morons. Eddie wasn’t the worst for PPV, but he was no better than Frank. They’re all at it. Jokers.

Apparently it’s going to be an 10/11 fight show and Babic will be fighting Eric Molina.

To be honest I don’t mind the fight. Molina’s a proper heavy who can punch. Will be interesting to see what happens if he lands the kind of punch he did against Wardley. I think Molina tries for a few rounds and then looks for a way out.

Spider Richards is supposedly in a good fight - let’s see early next week when it’s announced.

its hard to defend an opponent that has been stopped 7 times as being a step up... but molina would be a step up for babic, and a masssssive step up from brown. i expect an early babic stoppage still, think molina is to old and mentaly beat to deal with babics early intensity but he is still a live dog if he turns up with a winners mentality.

Eddie is counting down the days till webs medicaly cleared so he can put babic in with him and declare it a "domestic Dust-up" even though babics not brittish...

molina is all too eager to look for the canvas these days, if he flops again here please ffs dont bring him back. he has or at least had some tools at this level, but really shows 0 ambition to use them any more. he has his best moment vs wardley and then almost immediately flops and sits on the canvas while being counted out, that type of sh!t is just bizarre and sad. the stuff of a guy who fears winning or something. he's done it several times.

flopper + no remotely meaningful win in years = me like 'eeeeh'

he had a moment vs wardley, so bring him in for babic, okay i get it, molina can punch a bit and cabbage is open, so potential banana skin etc. but if he pulls his schtick again send da drummer boi home forever

if I were Babic, I would first take a Molina at the beginning of the event and then before the end of the event I would take a Fox. on the same night
