I watched this about a week ago and it was pretty informative. Still to this day Frank Bruno says Jumbo Cummings hit him with the single hardest punch of his career and I believe it.

Bruno was completely out on his feet at the end of the first round and it's insane how he was able to recover in between rounds and managed to win.

Cummings is probably the most successful strongman-type I've ever seen try professional boxing. He was better than I remember looking back at the footage.

I think a really interesting matchup would've been Jumbo Cummings vs Paul Sykes, considering they both were powerlifters and convicts and rugged fighters.

Jesus Christ Almighty God bless you all :TU:

He got hit right on the temple.

Not long ago Frank Bruno talked about this fight with Tyson Fury and he said it was a shot right on the temple, nothing illegal. @ 2:30 of the video.

Bruno has talked about this fight a great deal down the years.
I had his first book - still got it - and it was clearly a "welcome to the big time" moment for him.

Cummings really did look the business but maybe the weights and jail time were a huge issue...perhaps not given the breaks either promotionally?

yeah, but the punch neither knocked Bruno out or even knocked him down.
