Thoughts? Molina realises he's being paid to lose.... so he loses.

I was hoping for Kevin 'Oh come on Frank' Johnson.
Something about 'the Cabbage' vs 'The bowling pin' that has quite a nice ring to it. Would make a hell of a fight poster anyway.

There were more shoulder rolls in that interview than a Floyd Mayweather fight.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑18 Oct 2021, 13:58LMAO. That's the interview that made me like Sam Jonesjameswilson wrote: ↑18 Oct 2021, 13:57 I was hoping for Kevin 'Oh come on Frank' Johnson.

To be fair moline was landing some good shots on hrg and wardly. Step up for mine. Didn’t show much heart but I mean got hit back of head vs hrgovic, probs wanted a sweeeet dq victory. And vs wardly got caught with a clean left he never really saw that buckled him. It wasn’t that glancing right that people claim he dived from, it was that short left.

Re: Alen Babic v Eric Molina
He would likely beat all of Babic's previous opponents but he does seem to drop from the first half decent shots he gets hit with.
In saying that I reckon he will be a 9 or 10-1 outsider and if that's the case there may be value on him.

Cant complain about the fight at all. Best fight possibly out there that Eddie would put Babic in with.
Re: Alen Babic v Eric Molina
Eric Molina is this era's Frank Bruno - seems to give supririsngly (sometimes) half decent account when he steps up to world level - but who has he ever beaten and an aged Light Heavy in Adamek doesn't count.
Well actually scrap that - he did well when he stepped up vs Wilder and Breazele - the other losses were pretty crap displays really. No fighter deserves a world title shot if they have the term LKO1 Arreola on their resume - Molina has had 2 - which says it all about the division.

the cabbage hits molina with a looping shot around the ear, molina flops down, and complains he was hit behind the head while getting counted out

molina has suddenly grown on his boxrec page from 6'4 all his career to 6'6. that late growth spurt could be his secret to victory

I don’t mind the fight to be honest. Will be fun while it lasts and if Molina is 10/1 then there’s decent value there.

Re: Alen Babic v Eric Molina
does Molina get his nickname from the fact he gets beat so often ?

You quit once in a British ring without a good reason then I’m not interested in you anymore.

Assuming your talking about the wardly fight in Gibraltar.?
was it a quit? he got flattened, He got hit with a looping right then a crisssp short left, at that point he was hurt and going down. then the 3rd shot misses over the top but pushes him off balance, then wardly (knowingly or unknowinly) kicks his leg out and he hits the deck hard, head whips ect... People focus on the third shot that missed, and not all that happend around it. wasnt world levle grit, but iv seen "opponents" look for easier ways out.

Value yes. But I'm sure Molina makes his money now by losing to prospects now. That Wardley fight was very suspiciousmaverick23 wrote: ↑19 Oct 2021, 01:16 I don’t mind the fight to be honest. Will be fun while it lasts and if Molina is 10/1 then there’s decent value there.

I’m not as naturally suspicious as I think you are pal but, for me, Molina caught Wardley with a big shot, got close and threw to take him out and was caught by a couple of big shots which took him out. Perhaps if it’d been earlier in his career he’d have had the heart to push himself to get up but I’ve seen far far worse quits by fighters.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑19 Oct 2021, 06:53Value yes. Re: Alen Babic v Eric Molina
Yeah true and maybe Molina wasn't in great shape- he's at that journeyman phase of his career when his motivation won't be massive. He SHOULD have a better than 10-1 chance with the Cabbage but I can see Alan throwing loads of shots early, hurting Molina slightly, and then a British early stoppagemaverick23 wrote: ↑19 Oct 2021, 06:57I’m not as naturally suspicious as I think you are pal but, for me, Molina caught Wardley with a big shot, got close and threw to take him out and was caught by a couple of big shots which took him out. Do you think any of Babic’s opponents beat the Molina who fought Wardley?Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑19 Oct 2021, 09:09Based on Molina's recent performances - I doubt it..
