At British/European and fringe level Howard Eastmans worth a shout despite a lot of his losses being late in his career abroad.
He fought some great fighters. Hopkins, Joppy, Athrur Abraham and Edison Miranda when the latter two were at their peak. At middleweight Miranda thumped like a horse kicks.
Was Eastman ever down as a professional before he went to Guyana to box? For some reason I gave him as someone who either wasn’t knocked down or only got knocked down once or twice like Froch and Clinton Woods in the chin department.
Against Dann, he just got caught at the end of the 1st round from a little hook to the chin, he didn't hit the canvas, but held onto Scott..
Watched it back and sorry, you're quite right. Thought his glove touched the canvas, but that actually was earlier in the round on a slip.
My memory is a bit hazy but I might be getting this wrong, but I think Scott told me he felt he caught Eastman and it should have been scored a knockdown. Scott said words to this affect when he retired.
