What does ‘back to the road’ mean?! Was he a taxi driver? Looking to get back into lorry driving given the higher wages they now get?

I’ve just listened to a 2 minute highlights of the press conference. I didn’t think I could dislike Tunde anymore than I did but yet I do. The ‘I talk, you listen’ stuff to Arthur, the back to the road stuff and talking about himself in the 3rd person.

I wanted Pat to hit him. No way that was staged, either.

I think Yarde stops him and its a very weird thing for me to think having seen a 1 handed aurther beat yarde recently. But it comes down to if he can pull the trigger.

I just think at this point Yarde has to see that he is going nowhere being hesitant, has to of seen what that has done to AJ, and surely is willing to risk gassing to rumble. When he gassed vs Kov he through 8393 full power bombs in the 8th vs a high levle guy and still lasted till 11. he can still fight agressive without going to that dark a place.

That said, AJ probably knows all that and he still couldent pull the trigger vs usyk the minds a bitch.

I don't think the demons of that gassing vs Kovalev are gone at all. Tunde was shocked afterwards because he said he'd never seen Yarde tired. That tells you a lot about the training set up. Yarde came in to the Arthur fight clearly scared of gassing so was hanging back. This is a guy who never developed a jab coming through so he is going to get outjabbed by anyone with a half decent jab and lose the slow rounds early. We will see him pick up the pace but Arthur has been hurt and survived in a few fights so he has survival skills.

I don't see Yarde as the great fighter others see him as. He's got no jab and bad footwork just like Eubank Jr, who also came through with a similar attitude and bad training set up. In Eubanks case he just didn't listen to anyone apparently. Now he has to live with losses to BJS and Saunders for life when he could have won those fights in my view but with a terrible jab and bad footwork he was coming in with handicaps.

I thought Yarde would win the first fight but seeing how he couldn't get around the jab and was scared of gassing, I can't pick him to win the rematch.

Tunde is going to get himself chinned by Pat Barrett if he keeps it up. I don't think he realizes the kind of man Barrett is. I could see him flattening Tunde regardless of the consequences if Tunde keeps it up. I think Tunde fancies himself as a hard man but hes barking up the wrong tree there.

Yeah - I think he ‘retired’ undefeated so similar to Floyd. Never fought anyone with a winning record though from memory.

Wasn't that bothered for this but quite looking forward to it now. Fish Eyes clearly backing Yarde like he did Dubois, hope it blows up in his face again and Yarde gets stopped this time.

Dennis McCann, Sam Noakes and Hamzah Sheeraz all returning on this card so I'll definitely be watching.

Yea, my gut feeling is swirling to be fair. i cant decide how i see it going, what i do know s yard has to be willing to swarm at moments. lyndon has the OG win with 1 hand, then had a good fight in july where as yard has gone a round since the loss... its all stacked against yard. but just judging on the 12th round, it was like yard though "if i gass now it dosent matter" and started fighting and nearly won needs that mentality early and back himself to stop it. But that kill or be killed mindset is easier said than done. In summery i dont fornicating know.

I dont thik tunde fancies himself as a hard man at all. i actualy think the opisite, think he knows he is so soft that chinning him would be fowned apon. Also think he will walk the line and not say anything to get himself hit when he is a scenaio where its possible, but will say it when he is sitting at a press confrence desk... but i also dont know that at all. just the vibe i get. He is that mate at high school who talks too much shit, but noone fights cause he is practicaly a child and at most ya give him a little slap across the back of the head now and then.

after basically plodding forward throwing nothing last fight, getting outworked by a guy only throwing occassional jabs, yarde had the gall to moan that he was robbed. hopefully he does realize he needs to change it up and comes with some more enthusiasm and takes more chances, rather than being totally deluded and thinking he did enough and just needs fair judges

i am interested because i think both guys can improve on their performances, tbh arthur too was not very impressive (seems he injured something?) though he did enough

I remember feeling quite similar at the time. I found it quite engrossing for a low action fight.

Probably a combination of Arthur working his way towards the upset and the feeling that Yarde could explode at any time.

He just left it way, way too late.

Arthur beat him one handed. And quite easily too. He jabbed and threw about half a dozen right hands. Did we ever find out if he was injured? Only way Arthur loses if he engages Yarde which I can’t see him doing.

arthur won most rounds but there was next to nothing in them and he got hurt a bit late when yarde finally seemed to realize he'd been letting it slip . even a small change from one of them could make this one play out different. and i hope it does, first one had next to no action

if 'waiting for something to happen' counts as drama/excitment, wlad klit was super exiciting with all his fights that eventually ended in ko after hug time

This is a weird one for me. I’m intrigued by it but hate the fact that Skeete has fought once in 3 years and that was against Dale Arrowsmith. His last fight before that 3 years ago he was bombed out by a random Argentine.

Can’t see anything anything other than a comfortable stoppage win for Sheeraz but I’ll watch all the same.
