Middleweights: Emile Griffith vs. Doug DeWitt

15 Rounds Middleweight Bout

Griffith would out-box DeWitt on the outside behind his jabs and combinations while getting the better of him on the inside to take a decision. What do you guys think and who do you got?

DeWitt went 12 rounds with Hearns in 1986.
DeWitt would go the distance with Griffith.
I see it actually being surprisingly competitive.
Griffith by a close decision if its a 12 rounder. Something like 7-5,or 6-5-1.
Griffith would win by a wider decision if its a 15 rounder.
Could see this bout being a draw if it's a 10 rounder.

The best I can remember DeWitt looking was beating Robbie Sims and Hilton in 1989-1990, but he was way out of his class vs Kalambay his previous fight and looked like a guy brought in to give Hearns and McCroy rounds a few years earlier. Nothing wrong with that, a solid fighter, but I am a little surprised Bernstein would say that DeWitt was a top talent unless he was just pumping up the TV ratings, since DeWitt was on TV a lot.
Griffith would win by decision, something like 116-112.

I had the version of Griffith from the Monzon bouts in mind,vs the version of DeWitt from his bout vs Hearns in 1986.
