If I thought that my oponent really cheated in a fight where he busted me up, I would not show respect no matter what happens. Question is, does Wilder really believe it?

my hunch is he will believe it, look at all the fanbois, conspiracy theorists, and hanger ons going on about fury supposedly cheating with the gloves (and other things).

with all the excuses he's made he's obviously looking for a way to explain the loss (at least loss 2) with something other than 'fury is just better at this than i am', which tbf is an almost universal thing among fighters. i'd think he'd eat up all the people saying he was cheated

I think he believes it in the same way that a fat, balding middle aged man who works in a chipshop, might think that if he met Scarlett Johanssen, he might have a crack at nobbing her.

He knows it's ridiculous, desperate, and frankly fantastical, but clinging to that hope helps him sleep at night.

Deontay Wilder dislikes Tyson Fury.

The Bronze Bomber’s post-fight reaction was impulsive and sincere, but it would have embarrassed his team, the PBC and the networks he works with.

Everyone saw what he said to Fury.

Everyone working with Wilder will inevitably try to remedy the situation. His social media posts is just damage limitation via PR.

Deontay has been coerced to back-track and grudgingly show respect, where none exists.

It doesn’t really matter in the scheme of things, since Wilder has made many mistakes during his career, especially all the excuses he cited when he was destroyed during the second Fury outing.

Outside of the ring, Wilder is portrayed as being a noble civil rights activist, but this is just a fictional media portrayal of a man that does not exist. There wouldn’t have been much black pride with his post-fight antics during the aftermath of both his losses to Tyson Fury. He's certainly no role model!

Deontay’s conduct erodes his credibility and has nothing whatsoever to do with proverbial hyperbole – it’s a genuine heart-felt dislike of Fury, coupled with a deep-seated frustration about having been destroyed twice by the better fighter!

Fighters aren’t always nice people. They don’t need to be. They punch people in the face for a living and try to damage and knockout other human beings!

But my criticism of Wilder is more about the hypocrisy of how he portrays himself to the media and his actions outside the ring.

I have criticized his excuses from ranging from moronic (ring walk attire) to far over the line, (loaded gloves). I have also criticized both fighters for being poor dressers these days.

I agree wholeheartedly his behavior stems from "A deep-seated frustration about having been destroyed twice by the better fighter!," but where you get this "noble civil rights activist" from, I have no idea.

Your major point seems to be his hypocrisy, my major point is people are way too concerned with what athletes say. Very few of them are true role models.

This guy is one of a cartel ... LBGT or something similar they call themselves, who are mostly race-baiters who earn a very good living making videos about Deontay Wilder, whether they believe the sh*t they put out or not. They have been suffering a decreasing number of views as his relevance wanes and are desperately worried that Deontay will retire and their meal ticket will be gone.

I'm sure in time they will climb aboard the Jared Anderson bandwagon (Torres is probably the wrong colour) but I doubt they have heard of him yet.

If you want an American YouTube channel which offers good sense and balance, I'd point you in the direction of Boxing Bros USA, or Counterpunch Boxing News, even Bruce Vane although his scales might be off-centre in the opposite direction. There are one or two others I'm sure.

You probably don't want any kind of balance though - LBGT will do you just fine.

Proper YouTube channels (imho) HatmanStrikesBack, and Counterpunch Boxing News I will occasionally tune in to IFLTV and BBTV Boxing, especially for interviews with Tommy Dix. It will be a sad day in boxing whenever that man passes away. One of the last of the old timers who really knows what he's talking about.
