It's about pennies on the dollar as Adrian Broner finds free room and board in the big house.
According to Cleveland.com, a judge in Cleveland threw four division world champion Adrien Broner in jail for a probation violation.
During a Tuesday hearing, the judge determined that Broner failed to enroll in an alcohol treatment program as part of his court-ordered probation for assaulting a woman at a night club.
Broner's legal troubles don't end there. He has to appear at another hearing on October 26 in the same court, where another judge will decide whether to hold him in contempt for failing to cooperate with a civil lawsuit the woman filed against him. In that case, an arrest warrant was issued after Broner failed to show up for his deposition this summer, was absent at a contempt hearing and failed to cooperate with discovery orders.
The 32-year-old fighter was recently arrested in Kentucky over bench warrants in each case.
In the criminal action, the woman accused Broner of forcibly kissing her at a Cleveland nightclub in 2018. He faced several felony charges, but ultimately pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of assault and received probation.
In 2020, he was sent to jail seven days for a probation violation, because police arrested him on a DUI charge in Florida.
The woman would hire a lawyer and filed a civil suit against Broner, who never showed up to any of the proceedings or hired a lawyer to defend his interests.
The woman was able to receive a default judgement - with the judge ordering Broner to pay her more than $800,000 in damages

Re: Broner in the big house
she got 800,000 for being kissed in a club?
Re: Broner in the big house
She ain't got nothing from him yet.
They always start high. Her lawyers probably seen an old version of his social media feed where he looks rich. And not the recent one of him sitting on a toilet/shower seat begging from his fans.

obviously, getting him to actually pay up is a challenge, but damn judge making potential bank for the kissed club bird

I think he is almost broke, and I think there was more to the case than him forcing a kiss on her.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑21 Oct 2021, 22:54 "The woman was able to receive a default judgement - with the judge ordering Broner to pay her more than $800,000 in damages"

The article does not mention chikd support. Ive read elsewhere that one, or more baby mamas are trying to get missed payments out of him. He does not show up for the hearings and like the cases in the article, he does not have a lawyer in his place show up. Which means he is either hiding with his head in the sand, or cannot afford legal representation - in which case he needs to suck it up and try for legal aid before these misdemeanours add up to jail time.

Fck judges. Someone who grew up all cozy with mommy and daddy handing you a judgement based on how their coffee was that morning and how much they dislike you. Lets look at this:
Obese -1 point
Deep voice -2 points
From a low income neighborhood-2 points
Doesn't bow to my authority or kiss my ass - 4 points
Is wearing a nice looking flat cap +1 point
Young fellow who could if given the chance father more children - 4 points.
Result: Give him the maximum punishment/ make him pay the maximum damages/fine.
And then there is the question of politics.
My colleagues will favor a harsh verdict.
The media will favor a harsh verdict.
The local business people will favor a harsh verdict........ hmmm perhaps a harsh verdict is the way to go, could even result in my sorry ass getting a higher discount at the hardware store.
Some of us have experienced more than our fair share of neglect and violence, to be judged by someone who simply doesn't understand life its not cool.

It was downhill from here->
Something happened to Broner that night, Marcus took more than his "0"

These points are very specific and don't really apply to Broner... I now have a very strong mental image of you, thoughH8Usernames wrote: ↑22 Oct 2021, 02:18 Fck judges.
