Sonny Liston by kayo inside of 8 rounds.

Chuck Wepner told me in an interview that Liston was easily the hardest punching man he ever fought and that was the last fight of Liston's career, so when he was younger man he definitely was going to punch faster and harder.

The man had one of the greatest jabs of all time, and for only being 6'0"-6'1" he had a freakishly long reach due to his wide shoulders.

He could take a punch, he was relatively light on his feet for a puncher, and he could box. All of those things are a bad recipe for a guy like Klitschko. Realistically the fight ends in five or six rounds but I give the Ukrainian the benefit of the doubt to last into the eighth round due to his long jab, ring IQ and clinching.

Wlad by wide UD or late stoppage on cuts . Too big and hard to hit clean for Liston.

Both were great jabbers and power punchers, both were vulnerable enough to get KOed. Liston had a reach advantage, but Wlad had a height one and also Wlad's game was more variable. Wlad definitely could keep Liston outside of the punching range with moving away or tieing up inside. Out of the two Klitschko had more chances to land clean. Sonny had decent chances to kayo Wad, but Klitschko was more likely to outpoint Liston or score a kayo himself.

Either Liston had a chance to knock out Wlad in the late rounds with his devastating left hook or Wlad would out-box Liston on the outside behind his left jabs and counter his attack with good combinations to decision or knock him out in the late rounds.

I'd take Vitali K. by decision.

Sorry. I like either Klitschko over Liston on points.

Prime vs Prime,Big Time Proverbial 50-50, this one would be.
Same if it was Vitali vs Sonny. Very 50-50.
In a 1st bout, I'd expect Sonny to win vs Wlad, by either 8th round Tko or a close decision.
Somehow I'd favor Wlad to win in a rematch,by a decision. 7-5,or something around that range.
