I’m not even sure Williams is with Frank anymore. I haven’t heard/seen a peep from Frank about him.stujones wrote: ↑27 Oct 2021, 12:15I'm only thinking BT being a possibility is if this becomes more about Williams / Warren than Eubank.maverick23 wrote: ↑27 Oct 2021, 11:32Won’t be on BT - will be a sure fire way to piss of Sky straight away and BT are rife with PPVs. Still got Canelo and Tommy Fury to come before the end of the year I think.stujones wrote: ↑27 Oct 2021, 11:23
He did not go as far as saying it WILL NOT be on PPV. I guess a lot will depend on how much Williams and Eubank will demand in terms of wages. I think Adam is risking having egg on his face though if it ends up on SBO - so my feeling is that if Wasserman pay too much to get it done - then we might be looking at a BT Sport Box Office event?
Agree it depends on demands. They’ve already announced Claressa and Savannah and I wouldn’t have thought Claressa will be less than £100k.

Re: December 11th on Sky - PPV?!?
Hearn and Sims have openly admitted Benn isn't ready for European level. I'm sure he's not happy Marshall is much bigger at the moment in the girls. Taylor is definitely on the slide.
Re: December 11th on Sky - PPV?!?
I'm still not convinced they are going to make this tosh PPV.
They may have just 'put it out there' to gauge the public reaction.
And the reaction has been consistent at least.
If the voting was in emotions:
Yes =
No=
Undecided =
Why don't we have the chundering emotion?

Not quite. They’ve said he’s not ready for Avanesyan in his next fight. Whilst he’s European champion he’s a world class fighter.mickey1975 wrote: ↑27 Oct 2021, 13:18 Hearn and Sims have openly admitted Benn isn't ready for European level. Re: December 11th on Sky - PPV?!?
I had assumed they would be part of the Chisora show. Who else would be part of the Chisora undercard? Not much talent being spread pretty thin across British boxing right now.......
Re: December 11th on Sky - PPV?!?
Press conference on Monday to announce the Chisora undercard, 'brilliant fights' promised.
Not sure if this is smart or just petulant from Fast Car. Surely Sky will back down now.
Or go Friday?

I mainly mix in boxing circles, and most only want to watch Savannah of the women. And all will watch the Shields fight.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑28 Oct 2021, 00:47ya ed's prob just crushed about how massive savy marshall is, all the lads in the uk were talking about the big marshall-muyeza fight a couple weeks agomickey1975 wrote: ↑27 Oct 2021, 13:18 Hearn and Sims have openly admitted Benn isn't ready for European level. ya and mostly in totally sh!t fights, it's still women's boxing bruh, and big girls boxing at that, which is especially dumpy
who is the best she's faced? the short, flabby , lighter 44 year old who hasnt beaten an opponent with a winning record in going on 7 years? im sure the crowd goes wild for that and the girls they find at south african bus stops
she's handy for sure, but this idea that boxing fans are just pumping and jumping for her is
i dont think even her press releases would go that far lol. i doubt hearn is losing any sleep over her. and no offense but she's not really his 'type' when it comes to the girls he likes to push.

the massive, absolutely vociferous crowd, and the 10s of millions viewing at home, joined hands in song for sav, hughie, ol pete', and the whole fury training team and family. everyone absolutely loves them with all their heart. eddeh was crying tears of despair at savannah's utterly massive star success and wild popularity. she was his most valued prize.
it was the biggest occassion in the sport since marshall fought the great 44 year old maria lindberg. lindberg was such a tough foe, that 7 years earlier she had beaten someone with a winning record. was a proud night.

and hell, i forgot to add, with the widely popular hughie fury on the undercard, and the universally respected sage peter in his corner that must've added another 30m+ viewers world wide. the new ali. the new futch. a pairing that transcends sport .
the broadcast might have done close to 100m

Re: December 11th on Sky - PPV?!?
it's sav marshall my man, she's obviously a very handy woman but it's still women's boxing, she still fights totally dreadful undersized opposition and will mostly be limited to this due to her size, and she isnt the type of 'looker' that could get the horny male masses jerking off. theres no nationalistic pride/hero/a nation fighting with her katie taylor angle either.
of course in boxings shallow female talent pool, shes a big name, but in the big picture she's hardly some biggly star that a major promoter would highly envy. she is not the talk of the town at all, unless your town is her family, friends, or the pete fury training team
sam eggingtons a bigger name than she is

Re: December 11th on Sky - PPV?!?
The viewing figures were big for Sky but I think that’s more to do Sky putting the show on loads of different channels, including a channel available to people other than Sky Sports subscribers, them spending decent money on promoting the shows and it following a premier league game.mickey1975 wrote: ↑28 Oct 2021, 01:47So what was the crowd in Newcastle? The peak viewership was early on in in the show and the low point in viewership was at the end when Savannah fought.

i could ko a bought nobody on sky and still do 'big' numbers. few would give a sheet. if sav's numbers were the low point, on a card with hughie fury, that says something!
hughie was thrown on big number tv before, and still needed peter to pay his purses after that lol
it doesnt suddenly make someone a big time star

No way should it have been a SD either. She comfortably lost the second and third rounds and was saved by the bell at the end of 3rd as her opponent had her in full mount and was raining down punches. Her opponent was also naturally a weight class below her.
