Round-by-Round: Chantelle Cameron vs. Mary McGee - 30 October 2021
Re: Round-by-Round: Chantelle Cameron vs. Mary McGee - 30 October 2021
I'm not disappointed losing a tenner on McGee, she did her best and came on stronger at the end. Offer me 12-1 and I'm gonna think about it. Obviously both trained hard.
It was fight of the night, I thought the little fellas might be, but the ladies edged it which was a surprise.

Agree. It was quite the war. I wish at world level they did 3 minute rounds.KiwiRider wrote: ↑30 Oct 2021, 18:09 I'm not disappointed losing a tenner on McGee, she did her best and came on stronger at the end. Offer me 12-1 and I'm gonna think about it. Obviously both trained hard.

Shame on Whyte getting injured, as an undercard this would have been not half bad.

Big Johnny fishers contract is up in December. fornicate tonight was a blessing for him and should make him big dollars down the line. Save a card where tickets were hard as fuk to sell (and not be refunded), bring in 100,000 pounds of ticket revenue, and atmosphere, get an early knockout...
As a promoter you would love having a guy like that you can wheel out 6 or 7 times a year for the next 2 years... and steddie eddie loves him. should become one of the highest paid novices outside of the youtube world...

Watched none of this. Nor did many other based on Twitter and the number of pages on this feed.
Game certainly has changed.

I find it a grotesque spectacle. Its subpar quality and stealing opportunities from male fighters. All in the name of some woke virtue signalling, and given how we don't even get competitive male fights or the best fighting the best, its even worse we get this rammed down our throats.handsofstone wrote: ↑30 Oct 2021, 18:00What fight on this card should've got bumped up to top spot after Whyte pulled out then?peter barlow wrote: ↑30 Oct 2021, 17:50That seems to be a small hall ESPN+ show on Friday night. Bob’s ESPN show is headlined by a women’s fight and Sky Sports show in the U.K. last week was too.
What we have now is 3 main British promoters trying to sell us different types of turd.
It's fair to say it wasn't a good look the arena emptying after Babic but you can't knock some of the fights in womens Boxing, we as Boxing fans moan about just wanting to see competitive fights at any level but when 2 females have a fight, you get lot of sniggering, whether you agree or disagree Hearn is committed to woman's boxing, I've got 3 daughters I'm all for that
And its not competitive either. Cameron dominant 1/25 before. Savannah Marshall 1/100. Empty arena tonight for a main event. Whether you have daughters is irrelevant really.
What we have now is the feminisation of society, where male spaces are being taken over and even replaced by women. Its everywhere now and boxing was one of the last bastions free from anything feminist or PC. Make no mistake, its happening women are being handed undeserved roles and fights in this sport. I've been sounding the alarm on this quite a while, we are witnessing a decline in boxing in the name of diversity.

Fuk mate go to therapy, or hug your mum, or something. Your defult position when you hear rolly has multiple sexual assult allegations against him is to feel sorry for him, and now your being so threatened by 1 in 100 main events being female and suggesting its the downfall of society...peter barlow wrote: ↑30 Oct 2021, 19:21I find it a grotesque spectacle. Eddie can't remember anyone selling that many tickets in their fourth fight. Wharton did it from debut to Benn. His poor mam had to turn people away.

that's why i just cant get into molina these days. on paper you can say he's a step up but in reality he's just here to flop these days when someone puts a few shots together. it's his niche
johnny fisher ko molina if they were matched next

Re: Round-by-Round: Chantelle Cameron vs. Mary McGee - 30 October 2021
I disagree, I thought it was brilliant because I switched off as soon as the Babic fight was over. It's when they put the dross on before the main event that it's a problem as you have to sit through it before getting to the real fights.gregregegg wrote: ↑30 Oct 2021, 17:25 Bit depressing ending with a womens fight. Rightly or wrongly half of boxing fans dont want to see it... i dont mind it personaly.
you can hear over the broardcast the crowd has gone from very very loud when johny was fighting, to being able to hear individual people cheering. sounds like 80% of people have either gone home or gone to the bar.
This way, all the pro womens boxing people get to be happy and so do the rest of us.

Womens boxing, like womens football is pish.
Just give us decent fights between two male boxers, its simple.
Womwn dont even watch womens boxing, so why make us suffer through it. Try putting on an all women fight card and see how many bums you get on seats.
Bring back the 70`s, I`m tired of this forced equality bollox

But on the plus side, last night was a good night for those of us who don't have any time for womens boxing. A world unification in front of an entirely empty arena, with Hearn bragging about how it's thriving. For a narcissist such as Hearn to sit in an empty arena for his main event will hurt him.

I hug my mother plenty, she has no time for women's boxing either. In fact virtually no women do.

I support the concept of innocent until proven guilty like most sane people and the law.
Let's hope that stuff never lands at your door then if you support it against others. You seem extremely naive to the realities of the harms of this kind of witch hunt without evidence.

Re: Round-by-Round: Chantelle Cameron vs. Mary McGee - 30 October 2021
There was never a plan for this to headline. If you added Whyte/Wallin to this then it would have been a very good show. The Castenada fight was well matched and a good fight, Richards was losing his fight until he came back to win, and he 2 heavyweight fight were what they were and the women’s main event was a fairly good competitive fight. There were still a few thousand in there for the main event and the atmosphere didn’t sound bad - given after refunds they’d only sold 30% of the place out to begin with would make any pic of the place seem empty.peter barlow wrote: ↑31 Oct 2021, 07:52So true. I get that you maybe can't expect stacked shows every time, but this was poor. Hearn knew it as well.

Out of interest, do you think the show was worse than the 2 Boxxer shows so far?
