Too bad Canelo Golovkin 3 never happened...

Post by 570991 »

1st was clearly Golovkin's win. I scored it something like 8-4.

Second fight was much more closer and i have no problems for 7-5 for Canelito.

I would not call 6-6 or 7-5 for Triple G a robbery. It was a good close fight.

I have to say that Canelo is getting better and better.

That first match against Golovkin made him to work even harder and that's good , because he's a young boy still tbh.

I would like a third match between them. Golovkin got too old tho and Canelo got so much better.

We need good and technicaly sound boxers in this era and guys like Canelo, Usyk , Crawford are very good examples.

IM tired of one trick limited ponies - for example Wladimir Klitschko or Deontay Wilder - Two horrible boxers with limited abilities in the ring.

Canelito against Beterviev , Bivol , Charlo or Andrade could be a great fight and i can not wait.

Hope Usyk beats Joshua once again and then faces Tyson Fury - It would be a great HW fight between two best HWies in recent 20 years after Lennox Lewis.

It was and is pointless to me. Golovkin already beat Canelo twice. Canelo likely wins if they fought again now because he's let GGG age out, but Golovkin has already proven he was the better boxer (at least head to head) twice, and I for one won't forget that.

Agreed. I was scratching my head when people said Canelo won the second fight close but clear. Golovkin jabbed his head off and changed his style to box more. I thought he won the first fight close but clear, but the second fight clear.

At this point, I agree that there is no reason to see it happen. Golovkin isn't with Sanchez anymore, and while he might be able to beat a beltholder like Murata, that doesn't mean he can beat his p4p contemporary. On top of that, I do think people are sleeping on Murata (watch him get KO'd lol).

Murata does 100% have a chance. He's a very tough, methodical fighter with power, and while he does have humiliating losses, the guy seems to improve every fight. People seem to be sleeping on the fact that he's fought a bunch of nobodies and then had to turn around and fight N'Dam and Brant. Whoever manages him has not done him a favor in building him up.

I had Golovkin winning the first. 2nd was close but no problem with the Canelo win.

Third fight? I don't want to see it. Golovkin is ancient now.

I’ve rewatched the second fight several times…Initially I had Canelo winning, feeling GGG came on too late. Upon reviewing it, I’ve scored it for GGG. In any case, it’s a very close fight and a battle between two greats.

2nd close but still for ggg, who was the frikin champ.
