Amir Khan has accused Kell Brook of moving the goalposts again as the pair continue to thrash out a deal for a long-winded welterweight collision.

Khan took to social media to reveal that Brook can no longer make 147 pounds. That “The Special One” aims to seal the deal at a couple of pounds north of that marker.

It’s no secret that Brook has struggled at the welterweight limit for a while now.

For his last bout with Terence Crawford, Brook was able to boil down. But the Sheffield man’s three previous contests came at 150 pounds and over.

When losing to Crawford via stoppage, Brook stated the weight was the difference. It seems he doesn’t want the same thing to happen against Khan.

Outlining the situation as it stands, Khan said: “Kell said he would fight at 147. I agreed. Now Kell wants 149. Then he wants 149.5.

“Is he even serious about wanting the fight?”

Judging by Khan’s Sky Sports tagging in his post, too, BOXXER would be the favorites to stage the contest. Brook and Khan no longer seem as close to Eddie Hearn as they once were.

Negotiations will continue regarding what could be a December 2021 clash. If talks continue to stall, early next year might be a more likely outcome.
Hearn said today he was out - wouldn’t be DAZN for that fight - said he was talking to Khan about Khan c Pacquiao before he retired or v Benn.

Said they wouldn’t get involved in Brook/Khan as it was just 2 guys looking for as much money as they could get.

Winner vs benn.
Yep I agree unfortunately, both guys great to watch, Khan's speed and vulnerability, Brook's power, I'd prefer them to fight for a pittance in all honesty though

Sky PPV surely ? They’ll try it as they couldn’t afford what each will be wanting otherwise.

They still can't even agree on a weight.
They haven't even agreed on a venue, country, promotion company, TV or streaming, pay scale, dressing room, and more importantly - who comes out first

If he didn't want to be involved why has he been talking with them?
Is Eddie struggling to compete with the Sky machine?

Who even cares any more.

Both are well past it now, Kell especially seems like his punch resistance has gone, Khan never really had much to begin with.

I think they should call this one...

"Blink and you'll miss it."

Perhaps the pre fight video could show their stoppage losses.

Not seen the Brook interview - but Saurland was very coy with his "biggest UK fight of the year" message - this would be it and also if Eubank vs Williams is the co feature - then actually that's a pretty tasty PPV.

Eubank vs. Williams would surely headline it's own card.

Kalle was talking a fight for 2021 though and it’ll be extremely rushed for a mid December PPV.

Kalle is blatantly talking about Eubank v Williams. Who knows how Kell and Khan signing makes the Fury AJ fight? He did say the biggest fight in Britain.

Agree with this. Can see Khan rocking Brook first with his speed and then finishing him. Obviously Brook lands he can spark Khan himself.
