Probellum has been described as a media and promotional outfit.

They’ve also signed agreements/deals with other promotional companies.

A few in Europe, the biggest bring Wasserman.
I would like to know their plans sooner rather than later.

Probellum has announced the promotional signing of former IBF bantamweight champion Paul Butler - ahead of his upcoming world title clash with John Riel Casimero.

Butler (33-2, 15 knockouts) is a former world champion who made his professional debut back in 2010.

It didn't take long for the Ellesmere Port man to make an impact, winning the British super-flyweight title in just his ninth fight with a first round knockout, before adding the Commonwealth, WBO Intercontinental and WBA Intercontinental bantamweight titles to his collection not long after.

The highlight then came in 2014, when Butler defeated Stuart Hall to win the IBF bantamweight title.

"We're very pleased to welcome Paul Butler to the team," said Richard Schaefer, President of Probellum. "He's worked extremely hard for a number of years to gain another shot at a world title, and we're delighted that we've been able to win the purse bid for it.

"He is one of the best fighters that the UK has produced over the past decade, and at just 32-years-old, still has plenty of big nights ahead of him, so we're certain this will be a long and successful relationship."

The 32-year-old is now set to challenge for another world title, after Probellum won the purse bid for his WBO bantamweight title showdown with defending champion Casimero.

"I'm delighted to be signing with a huge force like Probellum," said Butler. "Some of the moves they've made over the past few weeks have been massive, and it's clear that this is the perfect team for me moving forward.

"Probellum have already shown their total support for me by winning the purse bid for my WBO bantamweight title fight against John Riel Casimero, so I'm proud to have them backing me and I can't wait to once again become world champion in the near future."

Kynoch Boxing become the latest to link up with Probellum

Probellum thrilled to announce a co-promotional agreement with Scotland's Kynoch Boxing - led by respected figure Sam Kynoch.

Kynoch Boxing has become the most active promoter in Scotland in recent years, showcasing the very best talent that the country has to offer. The promotion is home to over 30 fighters, including the likes of Hannah Rankin, Nathaniel Collins, Dean Sutherland and Paul Kean.

They have already promoted six events so far in 2021, with two more scheduled over the next month in iconic venues, Trump Turnberry and the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow, where the best Online Casino UK sites are licensed, fair, have various games, provide rewards schemes for all players and give several payment options.

Richard Schaefer’s fledging promotional outfit is jumping in on the British action with a big card featuring two local fan favorites.

The company has announced the return of Lewis Ritson and the comeback of Scottish legend Ricky Burns in one same card. The event next month will be the first UK promotion by Probellum.

Three-weight world champion Ricky Burns (43-8-1, 16 KOs) will return to action for the first time in over two years when he squares off with Argentina’s Emiliano Dominguez Rodriguez (26-9-1, 10 KOs).

The popular Scottish fighter will join headliner Lewis Ritson, as well as Thomas Patrick Ward and more when Probellum host the event called ‘Unstoppable’ at the Rainton Arena in Sunderland on Saturday, December 18.

Lewis Ritson (21-2, 12 knockouts) makes his highly-anticipated return, as the former British and WBA Intercontinental champion has his first fight under the Probellum promotional banner, taking on Mexico’s Christian Uruzquieta (20-4-2, 7 knockouts).

Undefeated Thomas Patrick Ward (30-0-1, 4 KOs) looks to build on his current rankings and move a step closer to a world title shot, taking on Leonardo Padilla (20-3, 14 KOs).

Probellum has announced the promotional signing of unbeaten British, Commonwealth and European bantamweight champion Lee McGregor.

Scottish sensation McGregor (11-0, 9 KOs), 24-years-old, is regarded as one of the top 118lb fighters in the world after just 11 fights.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be signing with Probellum. I believe with Probellum backing me and guiding me I won’t just become a world champion, but I’ll also become a multi-weight world champion,” said McGregor.

Probellum has announced the signing of highly-rated amateur Ben Rees ahead of his plans to turn professional.

The Birtley fighter has had a glittering amateur career, with his accolades including five national titles, and a European bronze medal.

"I'm delighted to sign with Probellum and it's the start of some big things for me," said Rees. "Boxing in the North East is only going to get better and better, and I'm happy to be a part of it.

"I'll hopefully make my debut in February, and I want to work my way up the domestic scene, winning the British title and then moving onto world titles from there. What Probellum can offer is in line with my goals, and I can't wait to get started."

He now joins the booming North East boxing scene, becoming the latest boxer from the region to sign with Probellum, following in the footsteps of fighters such as Lewis Ritson, Mark Dickinson, Pat McCormack and Luke McCormack.

"Probellum have signed some of the very best boxers in the entire world, so to now be part of that stable is exciting. The future looks very bright."

The 30-year-old also holds wins over the likes of Kieran Smith and Harry Scarff during his professional career, and as an amateur won the 2015 ABA Championships.

The Darlington boxer is currently ranked #11 in the world with the IBF, and looks certain for big things over the next few years.

I don’t know to be honest. Their first 2 shows have been on allegedly, Premier Sports and Free Sports. Unfortunately very few people will be watching on those channels - even though Free Sports is on Freeview because they don’t do any advertising and they will really struggle to get outside of the boxing hardcore. Eddie/DAZN have struggled to do that despite Eddie having a big profile.

I don’t really understand their business model because unless they have a proper TV channel/streaming service backing them then I can’t see how they’ll make money out of it.

It would really make sense given the fighters they've signed to secure a deal through boxxer and work with Sky. Their fighters are old "Sky" favourites. When I saw who Schaeffer first signed I automatically assumed that they would be on Sky.

Yeah - it would but I can’t imagine Boxxer being happy giving up a load of their dates to Probellum. Probellum have a similar stable (arguably stronger) than Boxxer now and they have several quality prospects so won’t need Boxxer’s youngsters on the bills.

Will be interesting to see what happens. Wasserman have also been a massive let down so far from a promotional point of view and don’t have a TV deal.

Probellum aren’t getting on Sky or BT. Fighters signing with them are purely doing so for the drug money.
