Ghana:

Friday, October 9, 2021-

Dansoman, Accra, Ghana-

Emmanuel Quaye TKO-3 Boateng Agyemang Prempah

- Quaye won the vacant Ghanaian middleweight title.

- Referee: Roger Barnor

- BoxRec had Quaye's record listed as 5-9, 3 KOs prior to the bout. His birthdate is 1/4/90 but his record included losses in 1995, 1998, and 2000. It was obvious that those bouts belonged on the record of another fighter named Emmanuel Quaye, possibly the one born on 6/19/65. I notified BoxRec regarding this matter and the three bouts in question were moved to the older Emmanuel Quaye's record.

- According to graphic.com, this Emmanuel Quaye did lose eight bouts in a row to start his career. However, the three removed from his record aren't the three missing from it.

Other bouts from the card:

Bantamweight Bout-
Manyo Plange (22-0-1, 18 KOs) TKO-1 2:48 Prince Zanoun (Zanoun Prince; Benin; record not available)

- Zanoun was a last minute substitute for substitute opponent Isaac Owusu (23-9, 18 KOs). Plange was originally slated to fight Alexis Boureima Kabore in a rematch but Boureima Kabore, who apparently can no longer make the bantamweight limit, instead scheduled a junior lightweight bout against Archie Sharp for later in the month.

- Plange, who had held the West African Boxing Union super flyweight title, won the West African Boxing Union bantamweight title.

Super Welterweight Bout-

Middleweight Bout-

Flyweight Bout-
Isaac Aryeety (1-1-1, 1 KO) Tech. Draw Eric Tetteh (0-1-1)
- Tetteh was a last minute substitute. Aryeety was originally scheduled to fight Benjamin Sackey (0-3).
- The bout, scheduled for six rounds, was stopped due to a clash of heads.
