The event was an over 40's night. The lad who'd been ejected a couple of times for being underage was drunk and harassing the women.
He was being a nuisance but wouldn't leave. The lad was abusive, starting to face off, Garry apparently took a single step towards him and delivered the fatal blow. That step was pivotal in determining the charge of murder and not manslaughter.
He was taken to hospital by car or taxi I believe, but discharged himself a couple of hours later, to return for treatment as his condition worsened.
I've known several boxers who've killed people when doing the doors and the sentencing is inconsistent to say the least.

scary if it went down like that, one punch and life changed for you and another ended. shows it's always better to walk away if you can.
